I'd even throw in our 1st rounder this year as well if we had a shot at Porzingis. We'd then have our PF of the future and our core is set!
I know this sounds crazy, but I'd gladly trade Jennings, 2016 #1 and 2018 #1 for Porzingis. He is such a perfect fit for the type of team we're putting together. And we're not going to draft high enough to get someone like Porzingis anytime soon. Perfect inside/outside combo with Drummond, and he could even backup at the post in limited minutes. And before you say I'm guessing our 2016 pick will be mid teens, and the 2018 pick will be low 20s. They are valuable, and it is a risk (Drummond gets hurt), but they would be totally worth getting our PFOTF.
Would you guys do a Future Top 3 protected 1st, Jennings, KCP, AND Stanley Johnson for Porzingis, Grant, and Afflalo
Jackson / Grant-Black
Afflalo / Meeks
Mook / Bullock
Porzingis / Ersan-Tolliver
Drummond / Baynes
We could use Tolliver-Bullock-Joel Anthony as pieces to get a SF for our bench and that team could make some noise in the playoffs
Imagine if Durant signed with the Pistons. Who wouldnt want to play next to Porzingis/Drummond?
Hell yeah I would do this too. I would give the Knicks whatever they wanted to unite Porzingod with Drummond,
but I have the feeling that Porzingis is untouchable. Knicks won't trade him for any cost unless its for a top 5 player, ie Curry, Lebron, Durant, Unibrow.
