i thought jackson's poor defense on parker (especially to start the second half) was really the nail in the coffin for us. he was able to come off of screens and get the to the rim where he would get a layup/floater/short jumper and if a big helped in the paint then parker kicked it out to aldridge for an open 16 foot shot. KCP and jennings both made it more difficult for parker to get into the paint.

so far i think we've done well against the elite teams. we've been in every game and put up a good fight.

Does anybody remember when SVG was an idiot for not out paying the Spurs of upwards of $13+ million/year for the services of one Danny Green?

Yeah I'd rather have Morris too for sure. He's only 5 million a year haha. We can get another Danny Green player in the next offseason either by trade or signing. I think we through max at Horford and Drummond and that'll be the first two max contracts this organization gives.

Worth every penny? He's in the perfect system for him now and is stinking up the joint. I just hope people will not get to July 3rd and once again go, "oh no, 3rd tier free agent X just signed, SVG get off your fatass and do SOMETHING". That commentary looks extremely ridiculous in hindsight and now people would be complaining about how we terribly overpaid. It's been that way for years though, so I don't expect it to stop.

it's funny, the two best wing players in free agency last year (and both i thought would fit well on this team) have been extremely underwhelming so far this year.

danny green is getting less touches but is doing next to nothing with the chances he does get and demarre carroll has been constantly injured all year and has played poorly when he's on the court (though he's been limited by said injury).

this is obviously all in hindsight, if we could have gotten the "normal" danny green we'd be getting one of the elite shooters in the league. green has consistently shot 42% from 3 on about 5 attempts a game and can shoot when coming off of screens which SVG likes to do (mainly with KCP and meeks). the fact is he's putting up career low numbers virtually across the board and it's not something anybody could have predicted so it's definitely good that he re-signed with san antonio.
