I agree. To me, it's more important that when I go to the Palace I'll always see those names in the rafters alongside the championship banners. Doesn't matter to me if someone on the court happens to have the same number.
That said, also don't have a problem with Stanley and Reggie changing their numbers, if that's what they or the Pistons want. Pretty minor detail imo
