Mankind is immature. They will all yell "Granny Shot!!"

Question is, how do people think Drummond will react to it psychologically.

I don't think he gives a crap what people think.

He may not care, but it affects him because he can make 70% in practice and 36% during the game. That is all psychological.

Or it's the pressure of the game.

I didn't say it wasn't, but that doesn't mean it's the crowd. I think it's his own pressure he puts on himself that has him overthinking.

C'mon. Think about it. Here he is putting pressure on himself all the while some jack-azz is yelling "Granny Shot . . . Granny Shot . . . Granny Shot etc etc!!!"

You think they aren't already yelling worse stuff at players? Guys are used to that stuff and just tune it out.

That is the problem! Drummond is not tuning it out!

Todd your ignoring the obvious. Players are human and fans are vicious, and when your fatigued tired and coach and teammates yelling at you. to say it doesn't effect you is just unreasonable

I don't agree. I think his mechanics are inconsistent, which causes him to miss, which affects his confidence/psyche more so than crowd noise.

His mechanics looked more consistent tonight and I think that sleeve might be working.

We were talking about crowd noise/drunkards yelling, not teammates/coaches.They don't care what bums in the crowd are saying imo.

7/12 from the line in the 1st game since using that sleeve. Maybe it works, now watch him go 0-15 next game lol.

yet there are numerous instances in each game you can see players, including RJ, barking back at them. What actual impact it has on the court is anyones guess, but the fact that there is interaction means its doing something

Maybe Drummond should sing a song while he prepares to shoot FT's.

I recommend this song to lighten his mood and get relaxed.

These guys do this for a living. If they couldn't perform in front of hecklers they wouldn't be in the NBA. It might occasionally get to some players, but I'm just saying I don't think that's the issue here. Dre said after the game he was putting too much pressure on himself and just needed to relax.

A lot of folks can get into a rhythm and get to shoot 70+% FTs in practice eventually. The key is finding that stroke in the game, after you've drawn some contact, in a relatively-chaotic arena. That may not simply be a mental thing. There's lots of folks who can drive reasonably, as long as there's no traffic.

This is exactly right. IMO Andre should try and mimic game situations and shoot two feebies at a time separated by some workout activity to get this heart rate up.

I didn't watch the 76 game so I cant comment on Drummond's recent shooting. I caught the 1st quarter and left for better recreation.

His problem is every free throw looks different. How his left hand holds the ball, how he positions his feet, how he moves up from his legs and especially how his right arm cocks and shoots (its not really a shot, but a shot-put) these all look different each free throw. Which is crazy. He should be doing it without thinking, the same way every time. Like bowling, swinging a golf club off the tee, whatever. That he isn't is beyond frustrating.

Try something, he can't keep shooting like this
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.
