Making a comment that the officiating appears to be a little one-sided is not a statement that the Pistons are the better team and deserved to win. The quality of the officiating and the ability of either team have nothing to do with each other. Being that it's not a statement that the Pistons are better than the Raptors it doesn't require a response about the Raptors being the better team. I doubt anyone here would argue that. Believe me, Pistons fans know better than anyone what the weaknesses of this team are.

The final was 29 fouls against Detroit for 47 Toronto FT's and 20 fouls against Toronto for 34 Detroit FT's. 45% more fouls against you and 13 more FT's for your opponent can easily swing the needle in a LOT of NBA games. Not to mention that it's not always straight numbers anyway. Your players may have to get run over by dump truck in order to get a call while the other team may be getting ticky tack bail out calls. That's not good officiating even if the fouls against and FT's are the same for both teams.

And that's been most fans' complaints about the officiating for the last ten years or so. Call it ticky tack or let be brutal, but be consistent not only for both teams but throughout the entire game.

Yeah I get what you're saying. Read the raptors GT and they were all bitching about the refs as well so it isn't just Pistons fans frustrated.. The refs in the NBA are just bad and let guys get away with murder, then call a tickytack foul on someone else, and then a flagrant when a guy makes a basketball play. Last night seemed especially bad and I felt it went bothbways

Only a Raptor poster would think that James Johnson getting into foul trouble is the same as Andre getting into foul trouble. It makes a difference who the fouls are being called on and how many they have.

Love how every time we play you guys , you feel you need to come over here and validate your win. Kind of embarrassing IMO. If you guys can't take posters on their own board making valid comments about poor officiating , your guys are hopeless. If i cared about what Raptors fans thought about officiating , i'd go over to that thread and make a comment. I DON'T. We can clearly see what you care about.

You Can't look at the foul count and make a conclusion about the reffing, there are so many more variables that go into reffing then making equal amount of calls towards each team. My point is that you hated the refs, so did most raptor fans; and not a single raptor fan is saying us losing JJ is the same as you losing Dre. But the refs weren't targeting Dre specifically, he just got caught in **** spots.

I came over to this GT because the majority of the posters on here are good to talk to and I like a fresh perspective rather than reading the negativity constantly over on the raptors board. I'm not trying to validate the win in any way, because the score and the records to date speak for themselves.

Drummond's lack of effort is ridiculous. He doesn't box out, he doesn't contest shots, he can't make free throws and he just hangs his head when things aren't going his way. I love the guy. He's great. But play with some damn energy. Show that you give at least half a f***. It's so infuriating.
The team as a whole looked flat and disinterested. Jennings, Stanley, KCP, Barnes and Hilliard looked like they wanted to play, the rest weren't there.
That was my last live game for a while since I'm moving back to Oz. that f***ing sucked.

I was there too. I saw a guy in a Ben jersey in up front near courtside. Was that you ahaha.

Dre's effort and lack thereof, especially around the rim is quite bothersome. He's one of the worst defenders and that's strictly because he doesn't try. Did RJ look like a ball hog live as much as it did on TV?

Reggie looked tired and lazy. He had a stretch in the 3rd when he attacked a bit, but that didn't last.
He wasn't doing much of anything. really disappointing.
