If Reggie played every quarter like the 4th he would be a superstar

I just want him to start playing some defense. Dre struggles enough without having to leave his own man wide open to cover Reggies guy getting right to the rim.

Yes it gets annoying seeing his man blow right by him every time and then ends up throwing it to Drummond's guy for an easy dunk. Reggie probably would be an allstar this year if he was a good defender.

Like you said, Reggie would be a lot of things if he played defense and pretended every quarter was the freaking 4th.

I don't understand how he can't play like that for at least 2 quarters.

Also should be noted that RJ has been battling exhaustion and dehydration..so good to see him keep fighting

Reggie has looked exhausted. One oop doesn't make Jennings the better option. If so, we would be given Bynum the max. Don't even know if anyone's stated otherwise.

i agree though i think RJ needs to look at film of jennings(when he's active) and see how passing the ball gets the TEAM going. RJ the majority of the time is looking to score and uses Dre and other players as a bail out of the double or a contest at the rim.

The right formula is somewhere in between Jennings and RJ's play. A good balance of team attack and definitely more energy at the point of attack on D

I think that'll take a little time but it'll happen. He's only been in SVG's system for 80% of a full season.

Seen a comment earlier about our guards going over screens. I've been saying it for months that it's utterly stupid to continue going over screens on guards who can't shoot. That's stupid, you're playing to their strengths. I don't get it.

By the way Larkin set a career high in assists on one play over and over. All because we kept going over screens and not at least hedging the screen with the big man. That's an automatic 2 on 1 for them against Andre. And Bargnani killed us from 17-18 feet all night. But yeah, our PF has GOTTA be able to hit 3's to provide space right?

My biggest concern is RJ's lack of awareness. Which is confusing because when we traded for him, he was at times passing Dre open for the lob. Maybe defenses are taking that away? He picks up his dribble way to often, doesn't attack the hole or lane when its there, and shies away from contact.

i really think the biggest difference is RJ doesn't attack teh rim as aggressively as last year. He needs to work his floater back into the game. Instead of spending all that energy with crossovers and step backs. Floaters keep him going forward to the rim and if big man bites, there's Dre to feast on boards. He seems to get caught up a lot with indecision, yet if Dre's next to the board, the decisions easy, put it up!

I really enjoyed the game. Good, hard fought match.

It was nice of the Nets not to have hacked Drummond. (two thumbs up)

In order for Reggie to play 4th Qtr. 'hero' ball... the Pistons (and R.J.) first had to relinquish the lead. Pistons were up by one when Jennings was subbed out for Jackson.

Tolliver is struggling defensively. Seems like he has 'old legs.'

Stanley Johnson came into the game on fire... and left with a negative 12 in the +/- column... matching Tolliver. I hope Van Gundy continues to have the kid come off the bench for the rest of the year.
