You are pretending Dre is an offensive monster like Stoudemire used to be in Phoenix
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Their team is at its best and very Lowry dependant. Lowry is near 30 and will start to be on the decline sooner than later. On the other hand, our young team is on the increase and miss 1 or 2 pieces to become better and better. So, today I prefer being a Pistons fan with hope that my team will become a contender in 3 years or so rather than being a Raptors fan, a franchise that will never win anything anytime soon. To me, they are the new Atlanta Hawks: make playoffs every year but everyone knows that if they will never go to the Finals.
Plus, on this particulary game, perhaps they miss 2 SF but we actually miss 2 SG too, including our best defender who led the hard life to Stephen Curry and would have done it again with Lowry.
And it's not like the first meeting between the 2 teams was in Pistons' 2nd game of a back-to-back and on the road (while facing the Cavs on the first one), nor that this second game was our 7th in 11 days while they got a 3 days rest before coming visiting us.
Which Raptors fan trolled you? Sorry for that lol.

Any sign of progress this season is good. That's what this season was about. A playoff appearance and growth as a team and finding an identity. No need to panic. This team is young. They are growing. They will get better.

He leads the league in points in the paint, pick & roll FG%, offensive rebounds, and putbacks.
That isn't fantasy. That's the type of Center you build a dominant offense around (not defense). Especially when already paired with one of the best pick & roll PGs in the league, who is also 2nd in scoring off penetration.
You don't surround elite paint scorers with defensive stoppers who can't shoot and expect to win with defense. You compliment them with elite shooters and dominate teams on offense. Paying 2 players max money and then surrounding them with players who prevent them from maximizing their talents makes no sense.
We're 21-5 when shooting 33% or better from 3 and 5-19 when shooting less than that. But let's ignore 3pt shooting and keep trying to win with defense instead. That .208 win % really seems to be working better than the .807 rate we win at when we make our 3s.

hoophabit wrote:Has it come to the point where no loss is reasonable? I hate to disillusion anyone, but the Raptors are simply a better team. Deeper and more experienced than the team the Pistons put on the floor. Sure, we all hope they'll have one of those GSW moments where they play out of their minds and get a big win, but if you had to bet? Regardless, SVG has a better team than we've had in quite a while.
no hoophabit, Despite Tor record , depth of talent and having the best backcourt in the league, our .500 team should have beat them because......................................................................................we really really really want too.

I think our team is coming back down to earth, and our lack of defensive effort is catching up with us and our refusal to move the ball as well. It all starts with RJ and DRE, whom have shown they are mentally weak and/or still have maturing to do.

he has pretty reliable offensive move. post game is very impresive. if we had a point guard, he could finished 4-5 pick and roll plays (lobs etc.) he has 22 points 18 rebounds potantial.
on the other hand, his defense is beyond terrible.
Sorry for my poor english

I don't talk about a particular fan, but in my Bad Boy spirit, I consider the fact that Raptors fans coming to the Palace and chant as a provocation, a troll. That plus the provocative posts on Pistons threats since last season are the Raptors trolls I am talking about. And after all, I just want my team to bounce back like I know they can.

Raptor fans show up at virtually every arena where the Raptors are playing obviously Cleveland, Detroit, Portland and Minnesota get the most because of the proximity to the border. If the Pistons sold out you wouldn't have that problem its not like Raptor fans pour Maple Syrup on the fans and try to eat them.
You would be more than welcome at Air Canada Place if you were inclined to visit.
I quite like the Pistons and can sympathize were the problems that your team has endured and I lived in Bloomfield Hills for 4 years and know the metro area well. But you are wrong on many points overall the Raptors are a young team with 9 of the 15 players under 25. To begin the season only Scola was over 30. Plus the Raptors have 4 draft picks in the next 2 years with one likely to be a top 10 pick.
I wish the Pistons luck in every game they don't meet the Raptors you are building a winning team.
