Just throwing a potential monkey wrench in the works, word is not that the Pistons are seeking an extension of the 72 hour window to have this deal approved. That approval has NOT come through yet.

So, now we're back to having something like $13 million in cap space, our first round pick (with perhaps some ping pong balls -- it sure would be funny if we won a top 3 pick in the lottery. But, we have our starting PF in Harris, with Morris perhaps moving to that position. We have SJ and Hilliard developing, so going into next season they are more effective players (growing from their rookie seasons. That first summer after a rookie year are usually the biggest developmental jump).

Watch the team use their space to target a backup PG - and to find a shooting specialist for the bench to challenge Hilliard and Meeks. BTW, Meeks coming back, if he does come back strong, would be a potentially important story next season.
