Nope, he won't.

Did you not see stans face at all during the game, the guy was not pleased.

Yeah you're right, that did seem a little different than usual when he's normally cheesing uncontrollably during the game.

This kind of game is a reminder that Stan should be looking to add mobile length on the front line... LA & KL could simply go over the top anytime they wanted.

Thats for clearing that up,your right in thinking stan is the type of coach who loves when his guys fall apart and not stick to the gme plan.

Kcp said it perfectly, after that first half, guys got away from not passing the ball and wanted to iso and get theirs, they didnt play them 100% after that 1st and you cant play a team like the spurs that way and expect to win.

baynes and jackson pretty much sumed it up as well.

No problem. Wish you didn't need clarity but glad I could provide it. By the way, while Stan is ripping the team, who's going to be ripping HIM a new one for ensuring Blake to be a major factor of whether we make the playoffs or not?

The Spurs are on pace for 70 wins and would be favored to win it all almost any other year - it just so happens the W's are on a record breaking pace. Losing to SA is nothing to be ashamed of or panic over.

If 2 years from now we're still getting smacked around like this I'll be worried, but we're still a few years away from peaking and are dealing with a plethora of injuries. We'll be fine. Next.

I need the clarity,ok.

To your 2nd question,Well that would probably be the owner or media or fans.

I dont know why your taking offense, your acting like we played them hard and just lost to the better team, anyone who watched that game (especialy the 4th) can see we fell apart and made alot of dumb mistakes, didnt stick to any game plan (moving the ball) and then gave up pretty much the begining of the 4th.Everyone deserved to be ripped a new one (maybe excluding harris, because he played pretty much 100)

Tobias now 46% 3FG as a Piston.

Bullock 57% 3FG last 5 games and is now 38% on the season after starting 1-10.

all I can take from this game is that our ball movement stayed steady today despite the spurs playing their usual great defense.

Aldridge might not play a huge role on their team yet but both games vs. us he has been the MVP. him setting screens and popping for open mid-range shots (which he hits at an elite rate) just kills a defense. and him and Duncan on defense just wreak havoc. two big fairly mobile bigs that play very good positional defense is hard for an offense to overcome.

We had a competitive first half against the second best team in the league, and it was at their house where they have WON EVERY GAME they've played there this year. I'm ok with this loss. Just need to regroup and get the next game.

Falling apart/getting away from the game plan is completely different than quitting. I'm tired of fans in this city accusing our teams of quitting if we get beat soundly. SA had a big lead going into the 4th and we actually cut it to 9 at one point. Andre Drummond got called for a foul with like 4 or 5 minutes left when he was closing out too hard on LA to prevent an open 15 footer. I saw Marcus Morris still working on defense and down on the low block late in the game. These are signs of still competing and not quitting. THAT'S why I didn't think SVG rips them a new one. Getting run out the gym doesn't always have to come with a side order of blood like fans always want it to.

Now that I've given examples from my perspective of where we DIDN'T quit, how about you provide proof that the team quit.

To all the fans who maintained perspective and aren't turning on this young team and its players, my respect. Both Reggie and KCP had really tough shooting nights. It wasn't because they just chucked, as they missed a lot of good shots. This doesn't mean they are bad players or have no future. In our first Spurs game KL had a bad game. All players have bad nights. Tonight KL was smoking hot. The Pistons became frustrated and lost discipline. The lack of a player who can match up with DMA, and to some degree even Diaw, is a problem we've talked about all year. Asking Baynes and AD to cover them is an act of desperation.

A tip of my hat to the Bobby Portis boosters prior to the draft. He plays with heart and is a better athlete than many of the scouting reports led us to believe, and has a nice shot. Now that we've acquired TH, I have to wonder if the Pistons immediate position might be better had we drafted Portis? I'm not saying he'd have made a difference last night. Rookies rarely do that for a team. Of course, this is a hindsight observation, and who could have predicted that TH would become available to the team? I'm a big fan of SJ though, and who can say what might be done in the future to address our need for a mobile, good shooting PF? I guess the only point I'm making is that Portis looks like he should have been considered more seriously as an option than many, me included, acknowledged.

No reason to despair over getting beat in SA.

Spurs have the #1 defense in the league. #1 by a big margin too. People need to relax lol. We have the Knicks next. We gotta come out and play hard early and move on to the next game which is the tougher one, Blazers. Take it game by game. We might win a ton of games from now on.
