I see us ending up with 41-42 wins and on the outside of the playoff bubble. Chicago has an absolute cake walk to finish out the year. I'm talking pineapple upside down, devil's AND angel's food, wedding, cheese, pound, chiffon, and red velvet.

the game vs. chicago is huge... which sucks. if we win that game not only do we move a whole game up on them, but we would be guaranteed the tiebreaker vs. them. if we lose, not only did we fall a game behind but we pretty much lost the tiebreaker since that would give chicago a better division record, which is the next tiebreaker.

it sucks because that game is a road game on the second half of a back-to-back while chicago is fresh at home off a day of rest.

we already lost the season series with indiana so we would have to finish with one more win than them to pass them in the standings.

we seem to do better on the second half of a back to back if my memory serves me correctly

That's true, but I think you are being overly hopeful predicting losses against teams that have very little left to play for like New York, Orlando, Milwaukee, and New Orleans.

I just tweeked the model - New Orleans is now a win. This is going to be a very tight race for the last few spots.

YOu can't expect a hungry mature Chicago team to lose to Orlando, Milwaukee, or New Orleans, or the NY Knicks. They are likely to get 44 to 45 wins.

If the Pistons are going to get into the playoffs. They have to start absolutely dominating ALL of the teams they are in direct competition with for the remainder of the season (CHA, CHI, WAS, ATL, MIA) plus win against the teams that are not competing for the playoffs.

Both Washington and Chicago are coming for their heads... Pistons playoffs started a week & a half ago. they lost to Cha, Was, Atl, they are 0-3 where it counts.

If they keep losing important games against their competition in the East they are absolutely finished for the year.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

exactly... that's what I was saying. They have a bunch of easy games. Pistons better dominate the rest of the year and get to about 46 wins cause Chicago ain't giving them NOTHING!
