Their Superstar is not going to be as explosive coming off that injury. Their starting frontcourt is gone. Their top 2 scoring options will be a veteran coming off a serious injury and Stuckey. They will not be playoff contenders.

We'll see

Bump.

Faith rewarded - as expected.

The talent is there, the fit is there, the coaching is there, the FO is there...

Next step is continuity. Can't keep churning over significant rotation pieces every off-season. We gotta get at least 1 long term piece this off-season to give us 8:

Dre
Harris
Mook
KCP
RJ
SJ
Baynes
?

Would be nice to get 2 but I'll settle for 1

Love bringing this thread up, although I didn't post in this one. I'm sure I would have said ".500+ and the playoffs" :-)

I think most people overall thought we'd win between 40-45 games and make the playoffs but probably lose in the first round. We were hoping for growth from Drummond and Reggie. We wanted Morris to fit in here. We wanted Baynes to live up to his contract and for Stanley Johnson to get minutes this season. All of that happened, and we traded for Tobias Harris whom some of us wanted during the offseason and were bummed when he re-signed with Orlando. All in all, this season was a success. Which you wouldn't know reading the game threads.

Definitely a success, Besides for guys like Maker and a few other posters, fans are always going to show emotions in that particular game, that's just sports and it's what makes it so great.

I love when Fischella is wrong.

When has he not been wrong throwing his stupid predictions around in here. That dude is just a Piston hater to the extreme. Last year at this time I was arguing with him cause he said I was foolish for saying I wouldn't trade Drummond to draft Okafor. I said he would be a Better post scoring Monroe but still have that type of no impact in the game while he said he would be the best 1st pick in along time.

I was actually not all that far off. I had refined my prediction in a different thread to between 48-53 wins and I maintain that it would have been absurdly close had the team not had that transition from when we picked up Harris.

I based 90% of my prediction on having SVG as a coach.

He just does not miss the playoffs and has a crazy high winning % as a coach.

The guy seems to hate literally everything the Pistons have done/plan to do.
