Detroit Pistons 2016 Voting Big Board - #2

Post#1 » by coordinator0 » Sat Jun 4, 2016 11:53 pm

Ben Simmons won the poll for the top player on Detroit's big board. It wasn't quite a landslide though, which isn't too surprising give the other guy that got votes.

Who's your pick for the #2 player on Detroit's big board?

Current Results:

1. Ben Simmons
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

May not be our greatest position need, but I think you go Ingram here based on his clearly being the second player in a two player draft, by most accounts. I wouldn't go nuts on someone who said Bender based on his upside and position, though.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I agree. Ingram would be the pick based on value all day, but Bender is a really intriguing prospect in his own right and would fill a bigger positional need.

As expected this vote isn't close. I'll get the next one up in a bit.
