Spurs are looking to get Durant but have to shed salary
What do you guys think it would take to get Danny Green + Patty Mills as a salary dump?
They make 13M combined and would solve our back up PG/SG issues
Then we can move Meeks, Hilliard, Bullock for a back up PF (and still have around 5-7M to take on a bigger contract like Faried)
Reggie / Mills
KCP / Green
Tobias / Stanley
Mook / PF via trade (Faried?)
Drummond / Baynes - Ellenson

I don't think they actually need to dump both of those players to have enough space.

I can't imagine them wanting to dump Green but I'd gladly take Mills if he was available. Hasn't he been a solid 3pt shooter?

Us and every other team. That's the issue with the cap skyrocketing. We'd have to give up draft picks to get such a package, because if we didn't other teams would. I can't see Durant going to SA anyways, and Pop ain't stupid enough to make trades to clear space without having the space all but officially "spent". I think Mike Conley is much more likely for SA this off-season. Conley, Kawhi, LMA is a helluva retooling on the fly by SA if they could pull it off.

Id trade a 1st round pick for Mills + Green
Both had off years last season

What about Diaw + Mills? I feel like that would fit better, since they're both playmaking-ish players that come off the bench.
Green is getting old and it showed last year even though he had great looks to his shot. He doesn't have the legs anymore. Still wouldn't be opposed to getting Green since either one of KCP or Green can come off the bench but probably not KCP since he's more younger and can play more minutes as opposed to the downtrodden Green from last year.

Not interested in getting Danny Green. He was awful last season shooting the ball and i don't think he would get better looks in our system. I realize he could regain his stroke, but its too risky imo. Also, we dont really need to tie up another 10M in the 2 guard spot when KCP is slated to get a big contract and we already have good depth at the position with nearly half our team can play SG.

I wouldn't complain if SVG pulled a deal like that off. Spurs are smart though, they aren't going to unload those contracts until they need to.
Don't want anything to do with Faried. Doesn't fit at all. He's a hustle player that isn't particularly good on defense, and is basically a poor man's version of what Andre brings to offense.

Pop & Bufford are not the 2 guys I'd wanna have on the other end of the line. No way you can feel good about your chances of coming out ahead. Let's go fleece Philly or Phx lol
