Here's some more vs the Cavs. I think he's much more effective posting up from in front of the rim than the sides. I think he finally "got it" that series and this might be Dre's low post game from now on.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again. Drummond has Shaq size. He is starting to figure it out, and like Todd said, the Cleveland series he started using his immense size and strength to just get where he wanted to under the basket and killed them inside.

Andre made a huge leap last year. He is on the brink of superstardom. He was all-nba third team and an all-star. This year, unless fat-bastard-just-got-paid-syndrome sets in, he should be a friggin MONSTER.

If Andre improves the way I hope he does this coming year, it makes us deadly, flat-out. If the rules actually change? Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy.

The Warriors replaced Harrison Barnes with the 2nd best player in the NBA. How could they not be better? They lost Bogut.. but he only played in 5 games in the finals, and he only averaged 3.2 pts and 12 minutes/game in those 5 games.

Dre's going to improve defensively, and next season. Just through increased effort, emphasis and knowledge. Deeper starting post position.. that'd be great. Somehow improving his FT's in the off-season.. that'd be great.

Reggie certainly has the athletic ability and size to be better defensively.. if he puts in the effort, he'll improve, and that'd be great.

Stanley's defense will improve through knowledge. Hopefully his 3pt shot will too.

Hopefully Tobias and Morris keep improving as outside shooters.

Hopefully KCP improves as an outside shooter.

With the new bench help, it will be very, very interesting to see just how much we can improve as a team. And how close we get to Cleveland. I thought we played them better than anyone in the East this post-season as it were.

1. There is only one ball.
2. No frontcourt left. Small ball only goes so far.

They lose because of their size. Nobody can stop Lebron unless there's a big center in the middle. I don't care about the offense, Durant can't make shots in crunch time, he kept choking at OKC and that's basically why he left, too much pressure. Basically what GS is hoping for is the shots Harrison Barnes missed in the Playoffs, Durant is able to make them. Except they didn't lose because of Barnes, they lost because their superstar hid away and their big man got injured. The big man is the problem here cuz the rest comes with experience. Offense isn't the problem, they have a super efficient offense anyway...Shots just don't drop in the Playoffs/Finals. That KEEPS repeating itself over and over and over and people just have a hard time believing it for some reason. So what do you do? You take it inside! How? It's not possible now without their big men (Bogut AND Ezeli) Pachulia's good years are gone.

I think Cavs are one injury to Lebron or Kyrie from being a middle of the pack team.

If they lose Lebron I'd agree with you. However if it were just kyrie I would still consider them a top 2 team in the East.

Lebron couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in game 7. He did hit that clutchish three tho with like 3-4 minutes to go in the 4th, but missed a lot of jumpers. He's lucky Kyrie hit that shot.

To me, if they lose either, they will lose to Pistons.

This core will never be a serious contender. We need a Batman or Robin to Dre, and Dre himself has to take it up to another level.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I think the key to this core is Stanley Johnson. We need a Batman to Drummond's Robin. This core is good enough to be a perennial 5-10 seed in the East, a treadmill team who could steal a first round series now and again - but we need a legit star to play with Dre, a #1 scoring threat take over games type. Reggie isn't that, KCP isn't that, Harris and Mook are not that. But this core is good enough that we'll never be in a position to draft a star unless we get lucky with a midround pick, and we're capped out now as well. So this is it for better or worse. Which means it's on Dre going absolutely beast mode, WMD, best big in the league break out or Stanley becoming one of the next great wing players in the league.
