Welcoming Rip back is like having an ex girlfriend crawling back years later after she told the whole world that you have a small peen and she couldn't be happier to break up with you and that her next boyfriend is going to be twice the man you are...but now she's older and maybe her body isn't as tight and you've had better since, anyway.
It's not a good idea. You can choose to remember the good times, but the way he/she left, you know you aren't going to create many new pleasant memories, if any.

There's no excuse for his behavior, but I think Dumars deserves some of the blame by extending Rip, then immediately trading Chauncey, then signing BG who to create a log jam at the position, and hiring a coach as horrendous as Kuester. They talked about retiring together here and instead the team was more or less destroyed.

If he came out and apologized I'd forgive him 100%, I choose to remember all of the great moments he gave us and the success he was apart of rather than dwelling on the negative. Ditto for Tay, who was iso-Tay in his 2nd to last stint here.

Contrary to what many people think, I'm on a neutral stance with Rip. He was still a core member of that Going To Work team, and I'll forever love that team till my death.

I'm not for him being around our young guys though. He's done some damage on his legacy with the Pistons.

This is how I feel too.

Those dark years and that player mutiny I barely remember. Being out of state helped with that.

Is there any documentation i can read about it? Greg Monroe was doomed here from the start lol

No. He's going to go through his own one month conditioning program, claim himself to be fit to play, and need a new plastic hip, a walker, and some old man Dr. Scholl's loafers after three games.
