LOL. Like Dinwiddie, or Tony Mitchell, or Peyton Siva? Here we go again with the 2nd round homerism.

1.) Dinwiddie still has a shot at being a decent player if he can only figure out his jump shot and the right system. That is literally the 2 things holding him back. Moreso shooting literally sh* %.Mitchell is a clear example of a player who has top 10 ability with a football player bball IQ. Siva ceiling was back up , and if i recall at that time, a 2nd rounder how a legit chance at minutes on that sh* squad. Also hows Khris Middleton doing?

2.) Not only is this a completely different GM, but our FO wasn't made up of one of the largest support staff in the NBA. Hilliard was a steal in the 2nd round and only reason he slipped was because of age, which is what exactly was said about Gbinije. He brings versatility to the PG position from a defensive stand point, which SVG holds at a premium. No other pg on our team brings that kind of versatility . The biggest question is can he run the PG position in the NBA and will his shooting translate. i think games with the nigerian national team will help Detroit figure that out. He looked comfortable at the SL.

3.) My quote

I wouldn't put any faith in him, but rather he can be a dark horse in all this as a 5 year player

2nd round pick being a dark horse in a competition for the 3rd pg spot on our team is being a homer?

I think this is the first time ever on this board , someones been called a homer in a discussion about the 15th player on the team.

Benji, like Hilliard, was picked not simply for his abilities but for his personality

Not all 2nd rounders are created equally

Yeah, I think he's a sleeper. I don't normally like Syracuse guys but he was underrated. If it makes anybody feel better I was never crazy about Dinwiddie, Mitchell or Siva (I liked Siva but not his pro chances).
