Not exactly sure if that's an overreaction or not.

I can understand wanting a good shooter on the squad. But look around the NBA right now, how many good SGs are there? Not many. We have a damn good defensive one who is inconsistent offensively, but there are no upgrades available. People bitch just to bitch around here.

Thank you.

Aka the vocal minority. They just like to be different and hold contrarian viewpoints until they continue to fall further and further away from what's reality.

I mean, some so called solutions are replacing KCP with Bullock or Hilliard. Can you imagine RJ trying to defend Curry or Irving? Or putting Bullock on Irving to "replace" KCP? We'd have the worst perimeter defensive backcourt.

It's honestly getting comical here.

Curry avg 30 ppg on 46% FG and 46% 3FG vs KCP - his same avg vs every team.
Irving avg 27 ppg on 47% FG and 47% 3FG in the playoffs - his same avg vs every team since.

They're not going to avg 50 on 80% FG just because KCPs not guarding them.

What do the rest of the teams do who don't have him? How did Irving/JR Smith stop Curry/Klay in the Finals without KCP?

Do you even think before you type this nonsense?

So who's going to realistically give Curry trouble then on our roster? The first time around Curry was noticeably slowed down and that was coming off a hot streak near the beginning the season for the Warriors. Yet KCP did that. Irving I'll concede you on that point, and again no one else on our roster is entrusted to guard these guys than KCP, why does Stan lean so much to KCP irregardless of how well some guys seem to do well against KCP?

So either:
A. Stan is wrong
B. Bullock/Hilliard/Gbenejie are just as good but aren't getting minutes
C. KCP actually is a great defender despite the occasional raw numbers that seem to suggest otherwise
D. The media review of KCP is completely wrong about the impact of his defense

The rest of the teams that don't have a player like KCP don't enjoy the good steal rates, being a top defense, and a team that prevents the most 3 pt attempts and % along with layups. We don't touch those numbers without KCP, whether you like it or not. Because everything starts and ends on the perimeter game, not on the inside.

It's not even just Curry or Irving, he does this all the time with other elite guards. Reggie in that article is even quoted how valuable KCP is so RJ can get going on offense. It's sometimes irrelevant to focus on raw numbers and just look at the overall pace and tone of the game. It's clearly different when KCP is out there.

In those games where KCP defended Curry & Irving...and any other elite scoring player how did the rest of their team perform?

Did they post their usual stats?

I'm honestly interested to know IF all the effort KCP was making on D had a ripple effect since the supporting cast wouldn't be getting the ball in their usual spots...you know, cause the star guard had to work that much harder.

2ppg, 3rpg and 3apg is not a Big Nasty stat line that is a Michael Curry one. Stanley is the new master of the triple single.

Very disappointed in Gores. Think we should try to get Isaiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer and Dennis Rodman to buy the team, fire SVG and start fresh.

Maybe we could see if Darko might like to try coaching?

Even though I disagree with Todd on practically everything, I respect his opinion in a sense because he uses evidence to explain his view point, and he will try to justify whatever opinions he has if someone tries to have a discussion with him. He's not a troll like maker was.

I poked fun at him in this thread because I think its hilarious that he manages to tie KCP into just about every problem our team has and his dislike for KCP seems so personal. Can't help but wonder if KCP stole your bike or something man.

He's not a troll but a guy with a dangerous obsession. I mean, if I was his father I would be really concerned about his mental health. You can't post near to 30 posts a day against one player and call that a reasonable way of posting, excepting the player name was Josh Smith.

Edit: And no, he doesn't argument, he just play with numbers and cheat having not idea of advanced stats and how manage them.

The way he uses the stats is like those ridiculous mental games on fb who said to you "think a number, add 3, change numbers orders..."
