Re: Pistons (4-2) @ Clippers (5-1)
Admittedly, I went to bed after the 1st qtr, but it appears from what I've read that Andre won his matchup against Deandre. Also, Leuer and Stanimal played well off the bench. But no one else showed up. Our Pgs this game went a combined 2-17 with 6 assists. OTOH, Andre and Leuer went a combined 12-20. Why were we not feeding it to them since they obviously had an advantage against their opponent??

Re: Pistons (4-2) @ Clippers (5-1)
The Clipper offensive execution was a thing of beauty. All of their players seem to have above average handles and passing ability (minus Jordan). They made our team look like total crap defensively. Pistons would struggle just to get a contested shot and Clips seems to make a quick pass, another quick pass then BOOM wide open look, repeat.

Re: Pistons (4-2) @ Clippers (5-1)
The Clips are good, deep, and hot to start the season. I was hoping for better overall play from the team, but the Pistons sure didn't have 'it' last night. The KCP haters are going to get a "well, you might be right" from me today. I'm expecting more than that from a fourth year starter. As noted, Dre and SJ brought it last night. All this said, one game of 82. Next.

The Clippers have been playing with that team for YEARS. Their Chemistry is probably sky high. Pistons have too many new pieces and need time to reach that level of consistency.

A L is an L regardless of the differential. It happens. On to the next one.

Why is Ish Smith shooting so much? He's putting up 12 FGAs per game now while shooting terrible. He's going to be a good backup up here but we don't need him in the starting unit taking any shots.

he was forced to shoot by Clippers' defense
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Re: Pistons (4-2) @ Clippers (5-1)
not a lot to take away from this game, the clippers were playing great and the pistons... weren't. i don't think it was from lack of effort and you could see the guys playing hard even when down like 30. sometimes games like this happen, just gotta move on.
also, the clippers defense is good. like, really, really good.

Hopefully sj can continue to raise his game too the point we can bring kcp off the bench as 6th man. It starts with the jumper falling then everything else opens up. Kcp was hot a couple games but hes only as good as his jumper

For those that doubt what continuity, familiarity and team chemistry can do for you this is Exhibit A!

Apparently, you didn't read the clueless optimist section of the thread... that would be on the first page.
