I don't get this. What player wouldn't want to play with Dre? Especially in 2 years from now? I'm sure a lot of players would. Drummond can be that player that has a Superstar want to come here. Hell he should become one himself. I know yet to be seen, but he should.
Example: What if Anthony Davis was like I want out of New Orleans. Him and Dre would kill the leauge. I think Davis would see that as possible if he wanted out.
Edit: Like say we get a top 2-4 seed this year and go to the ECF even 2nd round and have a good series. That would open up eyes for FA. Kinda like Boston, they only made it to the Second round tho
We all thought Detroit would be a top destination for Al Horford given the fit and roster construction. Yes we got a meeting but we were probably his bottom choice. We also don't have any big money to spend on free agents in the near future anyway. The only way we are getting a super-star is through consolidating some of our good players and picks for a great player. Unless of course King Henry or Stanley develop into one (best case scenario!).
I didn't think we would get Horford. I didn't want Horford either.
Yes we might have to trade for a Superstar. That could happen. If a Superstar wan't out why not Detroit? Especially as I said in about 2 years we should look like a good destination. With how the NBA is going imo if you're a good team it won't matter what city you're playing in. I think our team as is might be able to compete for a Chip in the next 2-3 years.
