Yes, them as well as our immature, moody PG, our shot happy SF, our decent scoring but contact averse undersized PF, etc. SVG is both President and Coach, so that's his job. You manage what you have, not what you wish you had. At this point, there is little reason to hold SVG above reproach. Why does his team show up unprepared to play with regularity?

How does team come unprepared from SVG stand point? SVG put these guys in situations to succeed especially Reggie and Drummond. What else is he supposed to do? Go cheer for them at half time?
I don't understand how people can blame the coach that these guys had career seasons under cause they regressed.

He has doing a lot with little, but we just haven't enough pieces to step to the next level. Maybe it's time to keep the guys who brings a positive impact and effort on the court and use our assets to rebuild again but with more valuable pieces or picks.

"These guys" are in the Pistons organization. They train, practice and play under this coaching staff. It makes no sense to hold them harmless from the team's problems, any more than it would to deny them credit for progress. It isn't instilling confidence to hear him explain after another bad loss that he just can't figure it out. Of course, in no way is it all the coach's fault. The longer it goes on like this the worse it's going to get.

In SVG We Trust wrote::lol: Blame the GM when he came here we got no assets or valuable players, we were in one of the worst situation on the league, maybe the worst if Nets wouldn't exist.

Yeah now we're a capped out non-play-off team perennial 10th pick incoming playing soulless basketball. Yay us!

Re: Stan The People Manager
The capped out thing is a ridiculous statement which some guys are trying to be the truth just repeating it in every post. Capped out were the Bulls with Rose contract, capped out were Magic with those horrible Arenas and Lewis contracts...
Capped out is when you got unmovable high contracts on players far from their primes. All players we have right now are with good or fair atleast contracts, are young and could give us a valuable return so no, we're not capped out.

Re: Stan The People Manager
Capped out meaning we have no cap space to add talent via free agency. Hell, we very possibly could end up in the Luxury Tax if KCP's contract is a max offersheet. A luxury tax team that misses the play-offs - that is a helluva thing.

Imo we could miss the playoffs this year and come back next year with the same team and be a 3rd seed. We could also miss the playoffs, this team has talent.

Re: Stan The People Manager
Ya. Our team will live and die by how well Drummond plays. He's had a few games this season where I'm just so impressed. And making me wish he could just do that every game. Here's to hoping we get more of those types of games and less of the stinkers where he's a mopey, whiny, lazy player. Lol poor Drummond. Hope he doesn't read some of our posts about him. He'll jump off a bridge hahaha

Wow, that's a very bad situation for this team, because we all know we always sign big free agents and always add a lot of talent from the FA.
And of course, it's not like we could move like every player on our team if we really need that capspace to sign that great talented player. Yes, we're capped out and in a bad situation because we had pure sh* in terms of valuable players and assets when SVG came here and now he have like 10 guys who could be interesting for some teams. We have revalued like every player we have acquired, so blame the coach and the GM for that too.
Again, the capped out team is a nonsense because we could easily get rid of Harris, Morris and Leuer contracts if we're really sign Durant this summer. Sad thing this is real life and we add solid guys via FA, but not exactly "talent".

Re: Stan The People Manager
Yeah, at the end of the day, this is a job for most of these players. The 5% that actually give a damn and live & breathe basketball like savants are the ones that really made it.
Sadly, it's not Drummond that belongs in that 5%, which we clearly all have seen this season with the frustrations.

Re: Stan The People Manager
We don't need a new Coach or GM - some of our players need to STFU and get their mind right.
We have everything we need to be a top 4 seed - on paper.
Then we play the games and RJ doesn't pass or push the pace, Dre doesn't bring energy or get position, Mook starts jacking shots...
MOVE!
Move the ball, move off the ball, cut, set screens & picks, move with purpose!
Too much standing around watching RJ pound the rock.

Move Jackson and sign Teodosic next summer.
Move Drummond and get assets.
Play basketball and be watchable. Period.
