Dan Feldman tells a story about a high school kid named Ben Wallace who played Charles Oakley one on one at a basketball camp in Cleveland.

Oak didn't take it easy on Ben. He even got Ben a little bloody. Instead of backing down Ben Wallace kept going hard, to point where he got Oak a bit bloody.

Ben Wallace was the most rugged big we've had since Rick Mahorn. I miss the Pistons having toughness like that.

Rick Mahorn
Bill Laimbeer
Dennis Rodman
Isiah Thomas
Ben Wallace
Rasheed Wallace
Corliss Williamson

Mook & Stanley Johnson are the only dudes who scratch the surface of that kind of tough competitive fire.

What about KCP?

The league doesn't allow the physical D anymore but the lack of channelled fire in Dre & RJ is a problem

I'm thinking Isiah...in terms of being exalted by you and hated/disrespected/unappreciated by the rest of the league for generations.

Thanks for the reminder. KCP has that dog in him too.
