IF healthy we have an individually productive scorer who doesn't make his teammates better.
IF not healthy we have an individually non-productive scorer who doesn't make his teammates better.
I love that he's clutch, but between his knee, his asthma and his unwillingness to change I do not want to see him on this roster after the draft. I loved the trade for him and was OK with the contract. But when you try something and it doesn't work you don't keep going back to that same well (unless you are Joe Dumars). The idea we are going to rehab his value is pretty far-fetched; every other GM can see what we see and we've gone too far down this road with KCP & Harris to suddenly expect to go back to the pick n'roll game that Reggie needs. We can't put that one back in the box.

If the Pistons still had Kander, then Reggie would be in much better shape now.

Re: Reggie's knee
It's not just Reggie's knees too, tendinitis comes and goes in a variety of degrees from what I've heard. If it makes him feel like he's always in pain and "with a stump" then clearly it's far more serious than realized. I literally don't understand salvaging RJ since he's clearly not fit for this team at all.
This isn't even touching on his asthma issues as well as his circulation in his hands. The guy just has a plethora of physical problems as well a decision making with the ball. It's nowhere near worth the effort to stand up for him when we got young guys that are far more deserving.

Of course. All this knee talk is silly. He was a just as poor a point guard last year with healthy knees as he is this year. The successful hero ball every now and then got everyone giddy last year, but this team was never going anywhere with even a completely healthy RJ as the primary floor general.

By the way, someone should cue up the interview RJ just gave on the Pistons network. It's a beaut.
