It is a moot point. SVG would never trade Andre for Noel.

 That's a great idea! Then we can trade RJ for Westbrook and we'll be set.

Yes, that would be nice too :-) Seriously, we can put a package together. Besides Dre, if we throw in one of SJ, Harris, Mook and our first?

If they'd do that who could argue? Even though about half the time the look on his face is like he's taken a good dump and then notices the TP roll is empty, Cousins is playing extremely well this year. Playing better team ball and showing restraint. I'd think his value has increased.

Trading for Noel improves the D by a mile but overall I don't think it matters.

We'd still have RJ playing hero ball

As much as I'm down on Dre RJ is the real problem cause he's simply not the PG we need anymore

Before KCP & Tobias put the work in you could make the argument that we needed RJ to be the first & 2nd option on every play

Not anymore!

KCP & Harris have improved significantly offensively to the point we need a PG that is not only capable of getting them the ball in the right spots but a PG who is willing to sacrifice his own stats for the benefit of the team.

RJ is not that guy...yet

Maybe he becomes that guy, maybe he doesn't but in the meantime we got some craptacular basketball to watch

Totally agree on the RJ comments. Going from Knight to Jennings to RJ was a good progression, but now we could use more of a playmaker. I wonder what Miami would say to an RJ-Dragic swap. Dragic is 31, but more of the type of player we could use. He also shoots better.

Dragic is not a playmaker. He's a combo guard just like Reggie.

Funny thing is RJ and Dragic were traded right around the same time and both signed extensions the following summer. At the time I think it was widely thought that while Dragic was probably a little better, he was also older. Where as Reggie was young enough to grow with our core. I don't think much has changed since then (obviously they're aging at the same rate  comparing them skill-wise though)

Noel is anchoring Mavs defense, destroyed Marc Gasol last night and he's putting DPOY numbers since he's a starter.

Damn SVG... Meanwhile we have Andre "Another 0 Blocks Game" Drummond

1.3 bpg and 1spg with 8.8rpg are "DPOY numbers"?

I guess Dre must be in the running with 1.2bpg, 1.7spg, and 13.9rpg

Nice thought. The head of the snake is where we have a major problem. A guy like KCP or Harris can get hot, and he'll completely neglect getting them the ball, because it's time for him to "get his". I suppose that's fine if you're a superstar PG like Damian Lillard, Steph Curry or Chris Paul. But, Reggie isn't on their level. He's not even on the level beneath them, or the one beneath that.

SVG is coming to realize that Reggie's best role is probably scorer off the bench. OKC already recognized this.

Yeah OKC long recognized this and didn't want to pay him starter money when he's really a great or maybe elite sixth man potentially.

It sucks that it's on our end of the table.

OKC offered him 12 per year while that money was an above average starter money. He didn't accept because he was an starter role, not because the amount.

I don't blame SVG for going after him. We gave up so little to get him, and he showed promise. But, the team has outgrown his one-trick pony game and he looks antiquated in any offense that desires ball movement and teamwork.
