Damn KCP, why you have to do something so stupid. DUIs are no joke and I gave Big Ben a lot of **** when he had his, and this would be no different. What a dumbass, call a Lyft/Uber.

I'm glad no one was hurt. And this is giving me shades of Greg Monroe getting his DUI and pissing himself. Why is this franchise so silly.

is suspicion of DUI the same thing as an actual DUI?

i know anyone can get a DUI but surprised it happened to KCP.

He blew the legal limit, you can still get a DUI technically if you're at or under it. Regardless, he should've called a Lyft.

thanks. sounds like he passed the roadside tests but they took him to the station for an actual breathalyzer and he blew just over the limit.

Best case scenario is he "gets it" by the time he's 27

Look at Kemba Walker - everyone thought he wouldn't improve after age 23/24...fair to say he did.

So it's not just "Butler did it so anyone can" - there's more than just Butler as an example

Of course there's numerous bad examples too :-)

The list of players who played big minutes through age 25 and then took a huge leap towards stardom is really, really short. eg kemba was putting up 18/6 in his second year. Butler is the classic late bloomer. He played limited minutes his first 2 years. The first year he played starter minutes he was 13/5/3. His second year playing big minutes he went to 20/6/4. If you play multiple seasons at 30mpg+, your talents and flaws usually show. And KCP has certainly shown that he has talent and can help a team win. He's a top notch defender and can catch fire from 3. He's also shown some weakness. He's working on his handle, court vision, rebounding, passing - but realistically, he's working to get those up to average. He's not that kind of natural scorer who you would want to make a focal point.

I'm fine with paying KCP as long as we don't have to pay Reggie or Drummond anymore. I think I dislike Drummond more than Reggie now.

at least Jackson tries. in the wrong way, but has fire inside him.

this may sound crazy but if KCP was a Spur, Pop would develop him into Kawhi-lite. Unfortunately SVG is nothing like Pop.

Lowry is a Top-10 PG and he looks very inconsistent his first 3-4 years in the league. Like you said, there are a lot more examples of those type of players who reach their primes lately.

Yikes, the kawhi comparisons are rediculous and unfair. If anything, id say KCP would be a rich mans danny green.

Green plays in Pop's flawless system, so he may seem better to some, but individually KCP > Green right now.
Kawhi is definitely a stretch, but a Kawhi-lite at the sg position is realistic under Pop.
