And cue the insane hot takes.

On topic: I fell asleep in the second quarter, so I can't say much. Johnson seemed to be playing well in the first half. I guess his jump shot magically returns when his family is watching. If so, SVG better pay to get his family to the next 76 games.

I was surprised we won. We haven't beaten LA in a long time, and expected more of the same.

But, before people start popping off about how good we are, just remember that right now the Magic are #1 in the east with a 4-1 record. You need more than 5-6 games to make any honest assessment.

I can't think of a player not on GS with a prettier set shot than Galloway. Maybe JJ Redick. I know I'm forgetting a few guys but he's definitely Top 10 lol

Luke Kennard? lol

Just finished watching the game. Reggie is playing some real nice D. Amazing to see. Bradley rubbing off on him. He's moving around great out there and looks in control on offence too.

Given that in his first 3 years in the league he has shot 35%, 34%, and 39% from 3 I would say we need to be prepared for the day this 60% shooting comes barreling back to earth.

Obviously I hope he doesn't and we ride the coattails of the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA to a few championships, but I'm not going to annoint him as having one of the best jumpshots in the league after 5 games.

I think he's talking about aesthetics and I noticed for the first yesterday how picture perfect his shot is. For me Joe Johnson's shot has always been the one I loved to see. Stanley Johnson's stance is very similar to Cool Joe's, but everything above the waist is different.

Pistons were oso let off with some poor FT shooting by the clips, only 72%. If they shot 90%, the clips might hav won.

Pistons need to do better at the FT line too. only 67% last night.

Yes I agree his shot looks like is going in every time. But what has surprised me so far is how under control his game is. He knows exactly what he is good at and what he cannot do.

They only missed 6 free throws, there average this season is 71.3% so nothing out of the ordinary.
We missed 7 ourselves.

Yeah that's a pretty strange take.

Yeah more aesthetics than pure accuracy. Great consistent form tends to lead to better accuracy too though (unless you're KCP  ). I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him finish the season 40%+ from 3. Even his misses bounce off the rim pleasantly.
