At the very least, he's going to be striped of his front office power and be left as the head coach.

At the pace we're going, I think he's just going to get straight up fired.

As for the game. Hooray! A big ol' win over the tanking Bulls. I guess this at least proves we're not the absolute worst team in the league. We're just the worst team in the league who's still trying to win.

"After being warned by the NBA, the Bulls play Justin Holiday and Robin Lopez the entire first quarter and take a 5 point lead. Engage tank mode for the rest of the game."

Silver issues a warning to the Bulls, a team tanking so hard the NBA noticed, even then the Pistons still were down by 5 after a quarter

Pretty. Pathetic.

Post-Blake, our offense is bottom five in the league. Apply any excuse about newness, fit, etc. That is what it is.

Our defense is still middle of the road, but when 1/3 of the teams aren't even trying, being 16 or 17 in defense, is basically horrible.

If the Bulls were playing to win, they likely would have won.

I think we did really well against Toronto, that was a very enjoyable game to watch, and we did ok against Chicago, we had some players doing extremely bad, like Ish Smith and James Ennis, but Andre, Blake, Moreland and Bullock played extremely well against Chicago.

I hate to see Nelson playing, but we don't have a lot of options, not as if Buycks have been super efficient or anything. We have issues, but we are an improved team, especially because Blake is back to his normal self and is not that garbage thing we saw the past few weeks.

With Reggie back and Ish back playing with the second unity, we might see another improvement, too bad it's way too late and too bad it's Reggie and not Chris Paul or Steph Curry or anyone that will carry us and make a huge difference.

Improving?

We have the same record as the LAKERS, a team that plays in the much more competitive West

The Lakers play mainly rooks/sophomores, Lonzo has played 43 games (putting up 10/7/7), and Brook Lopez has crapped the bed (12pts/3 rebounds a game)

Meanwhile we are capped out, #7 in payroll vs #21 for the Lakers, and are sitting in the same position except we dont have Lonzo, Ingram, Kuzma, and free agent signings to look forward to

At this point, Id say the Kings have a better future than us.

We have NOT improved since Dumars left - still unwatchable, still not competitive, still not making the playoffs, terrible coaching, FA signings, and trades, and still the laughing-stock of the NBA

And just like when Joe Dumars left town - the Pistons are left with NO draft pick and an overpaid and underperforming roster

We most definitely have a chance to get better. We've been missing our starting PG since Xmas. Which has thrust our backup PG into a role he most definitely is not suited for. As much as the pessimists don't or won't admit it, That alone makes us a much better team.
And one more trade for a Bazemore or a Fournier improves us yet again. Leuer and Galloway plus a LOTTERY PROTECTED lol 1st rounder would be enough for one of them. Allowing us to keep Luke SJ and Bullock as our other wing options.
Things aren't so dire Pistons fans. Maybe we won't win a championship maybe we will. Probably we won't lmao. But at least we can have a little fun in the meantime

Sure is fun to watch Reggie Jackson constantly getting injured and playing like crap when he isnt injured

Sure is fun to watch SVG completely mismanage lineups and get outcoached on a nightly basis

Sure is fun to watch SVG sign terrible bench players

Sure is fun to watch SVG give Boban 21M only to nail his ass to the bench

Sure is fun to watch SVG stunt the growth of Stanley and Drummond

Sure is fun to have the same record as a terrible Lakers team

Sure is fun to watch a capped out team struggle against tanking teams at home

Sure is fun to be in the lottery and have no pick to look forward to in one of the best drafts in recent memory.

This team is probably one of the most boring and terrible team to watch in the NBA. At least most tanking teams have some awesome young talent to watch. Instead we have a broken down Blake and Drummond who throws up gang signs after dunking while being down 20+ points.
