No 1st round pick and no space below the Tax... I knew this was going to be a boring offseason, but damn!

To the new front office's credit (and they definitely need all they can get given how backwards the hiring process to fill it out as been), they were pretty upfront about this, and told us not to expect any action out of the gate.

They've been true to their word.

Last season we split our MLE between Galloway and Moreland, they should both be signed for the minimum, so, so far, I like the new FO. Please no more overpaid fringe NBA players.

Some of the contracts so far are insane. Denver will be paying the tax, they gave Barton an insane contract and maxed out Jokic. Ariza's contract makes no sense. The last thing Phoenix need is a SF. Doug McDermott got almost a full MLE, he is bad. Jerami Grant got more than the MLE and he is not good. Joe Harris and Ilyasova contracts are terrible too.

To be fair, we really don't know what this new front office would do if it had actual money to spend.

It'll be a couple years before we have a chance to find out, too.

We do, it's pay a star player the amount blake is getting paid. That trade WAS our big FA, we just got him midseason that's all. It's like how we got Tobias Harris.

The old front office made that move.

New plan - sign a point guard. As teams start looking towards next season and getting cap room, Ish Smith becomes a trade chip positive for us. 6M expiring + Leuer or Galloway means we can trade for a 13-16M player who would be an improvement for us.

Tyler Ulis? LA sign and trade IT for Ish? We need to take a chance on a PG. no more faith in Ish running the show once he's forced to.

Ullis weighs 145 lbs and got cut by the team with the worst record in the league, I'd rather take a chance on someone else

Think he was the lightest in combine history, only a little heavy than Mugsey

Ish, Galloway or Leuer in a S&T for IT is interesting. I think IT gets more than Ish or Galloway money though. Leuer's 10M makes sense, but then we're very short at PF.

But then it's easier to trade a small for a big than trying to trade guard for guard. So grade Leuer for S&T IT and then trade Ish/Galloway or both for a PF/Ce making 13M on a two year deal (new team would be getting out of Ish's expiring a year earlier).

LA needs to renounce IT to sign Lebron

They have to renounce all their FAs, their roster as it stands is:

Randle / McGee / Zubac
Lebron / Kuzma / Wagner
Ingram / Deng
KCP / Stephenson / Hart
Lonzo

They went to the cap to sign Lebron, then signed Lance on the Room and McGee on a vet min.

We just signed Jose Calderon for a cool vet min, us fans should be stoked with that.
