Casey - First Impressions

Our defense is Top 10 in the league. Simply put, our defense is good. Any comment saying it sucks can't be taken seriously. It's statistics. Our offense is better than SVG's offense that's for sure. Our issue is we need to be more efficient shooting 3s. I wish Casey could use the pick and roll with Jackson and Dre a bit more because they were always lethal in it. Can't complain when you have a winning record. The coach is doing a great job and he's posting results. No complaints. He's doing a fantastic job.

Casey's biggest negative for me thus far has been letting Andre shoot 3's... there will be games this year we lose by 1 or 2 points where Andre shoots a three instead of the team looking for a better shot. Luckily, Andre hasn't got too trigger happy out there but its certainly something that will cost us a few games this year if he continues to shoot them at a 10% clip.

Allowing Dre to shoot 3's liberates him to play hard on both ends of the floor. I noticed Drummond doesn't take 3's even when he's open. He's being smart with his shots even when he's allowed to shoot. I think it's a good idea because Drummond is playing hard right now and I'm sure the coach allowing him to play how he wants has a lot to do with it.
