Tobias Harris WC Player of the Month - Going to get PAID this summer.

Not sure he would have elevated his game the same way here or not, but its clear he's excelling as a number one option for the Clippers right now. Some other team is going to offer him 4 years $140+ million MAX contract... He's going to be paid almost as much as Blake if he signs with another team.

Max from Clippers would be 5 years $190 million, which is more than what Blake got.

Love Tobias, and was always a hard worker, no doubt earned his big pay day coming soon.

It'll be interesting to see how the Clippers do next summer.

Tobias seemed like a genuine guy and hard worker. He was unlucky to have bounced around as much as he has, but he looks like he's found his groove. Hopefully he get a big, fat, cap crippling contract from another team haha
or a very reasonable one from Detroit

I really like Tobias Harris, I always have.

He's a great scorer, but his impact is all on one side of the ball and you can't really run an offense through him. As such, he'll get more than he's worth this offseason.

do piston fans have bad or selective memory. I'm happy for tobias but we've seen this song and dance before. he doesnt perform when he's needed most. and if he has a solid year I could easily contribute it to being a contract year.

but let's just wait til March to see how he's looking

Yeah, put me in the camp of liking Tobias.

He's a super likeable guy. He's a very good scorer and efficient in compiling points. But as others have said his impact is ENTIRELY on one side of the floor and he tends to wilt in big spots.

Good for him for playing himself into a big contract, but im glad the team that gives it to him won't be Detroit.

It's amusing to view people so badly trying to convince themselves that the trade was still the right move.

I've got news. It was not the right move. The Pistons have a min-maxed team that can't compete for two years. They could have had Tobias, Tolliver, more depth and healthy shooting instead of an offense that needs Blake to go off every game with nobody who can help.

I'm still 100% in the camp that we overpaid compared to what other teams were possibly willing to pay.

I think the trade has, and will continue to work out well for us as long as Blake stays healthy, but its clear its also worked out well for the Clippers.

I think we should have been able to keep our lottery pick, and I think the fact that Tobias was just player of the month reaffirms that even more. Or, if not able to keep our pick we should have been able to include Leuer and keep Bradley. One of those two should have been done because of the size of Blake's contract and Harris being on a very reasonable contract.

All reports said nobody was willing to pay anything at that time. Detroit outbid itself.

It worked out really badly for us already. This team can win if Blake goes off. Nothing else. No depth, missed out on a 1st, way too little shooting.

Bradley had degraded to garbage and has sucked so far this year. The 1st should never have gone.

Yes, Tobias and Tolliver did wonders for this team pre-trade for sure. The 22-26 record that ended with a 2-11 stretch was proof of that.

Funny how you were no where to be seen over the win streak, but as soon as they lose you show up to remind everyone(for the 500th time) how terrible this team is.

1000% this. And it doesn't just apply to him. Crymson is well-spoken and makes some good points, but it's hard to take anyone seriously that only posts negative things and only posts at all when we're losing.

I'm the opposite. While I post both positive and negative things about the team, I avoid the board and don't post at all during really bad stretches, simply because I can't stand reading all the negativity. It's depressing.

Everyone can post however they'd like as long as the guidelines for RealGM are followed, of course. But I skim or skip posts that I already know will be ridiculously negative or ridiculously positive based on the poster alone. They just aren't informative.
