Man, looks like some were serious about having had enough of all the heartbreak losses and deciding to tune out of Pistons' games and discussions.

Hope this win is the start of something better despite the tough sched -- not necessarily a prolonged win streak, but at least winning most of what we can and stealing a few or more that we shouldn't. Maybe that'll bring people back with a more positive disposition.

I'm still hoping against hope that we can make it out of 2018 on .500 or over.

Who cares about Jackson's behaviour? He's outside the top 25 Nba starting pg. Period.

I didn't realize Kennard was 100% from the field. He gotta shoot more. I remember he had a layup and a great pass that resulted in a Drummond's dunk. He was very impressive and one of the reasons we beat Boston this game. I just wish he had shot 10+ times, someone mentioned he should have Galloway's mentality and I agree 100% with that.

Yeah, the reason Galloway gets so many minutes even when he's shooting questionable percentages is that he never goes unnoticed. He is definitely going to get up a shot or two every couple minutes he's on the floor. He will almost always score when he's out there. While I think Luke is a far better decision maker, he needs to get that mentality and adapt it to his shooting/playmaking game if he wants Casey to play him the minutes he should be getting.

I wish Drummond was this engaged every game. He would be on Embiid's level if he played like this 80% of the time. He was a beast. 5 blocks, 3-4 strong dunks, he was good from the line. They tried to hack a Dre and he went 3/4 from the line he was absolutely amazing.

What people don't realize is that Drummond actually averages more blocks than Embiid. If he was getting 5 blocks 80% of the time, he'd be the undisputed DPOY. Hard to see it since I don't think it comes instinctively for him, but I hope he keeps working at it.

Well yeah. That would be quite the accomplishment and catapult him into legendary shot blocker status.

Have to go all the way back to 95-96 to have somebody average even 4 blocks per game, which was Mutombo at 4.5 and was his career high. Ben Wallace's high water mark was only 3.5 BPG in 01-02. These are couple of the best shot blockers the NBA has ever seen.

To put a more recent spin on it, the league leader in BPG has been over 3.0 only 3 times since 2008.

So yeah, 5 BPG 80% of the time likely isn't going to happen. But I agree with your overall point, that he's been very engaged in that department lately and its paying off. The question with Dre, especially defensively, is how locked in will he be and how focused? Lately its been good Dre.

Even 4 PPG in todays jump shooting NBA would be incredibly impressive. It's great that Dre has made his way into the top 6 or 7 players but I always thought he had the athleticism to be top 3 in this category year after year. Although, being disciplined and not biting on fakes is also important there is a lot more to defense than just racking up blocks.

I never said I wanted Drummond to average 5 BPG 80% of the time, I said I wanted to see him engaged like that 80% of the time. Dunking hard on people (instead being soft and get blocked by lame players like Brook Lopez or Mike Muscala) and being a presence on defense.
