yeah I dont really understand your first post seem like your arguing Boston can be 3 seed.
Uhhhh yeah. If it's a guarantee that Philly gets it, it can't be "very unlikely" that Boston gets it. Based on the teams' positioning it's at least a likelihood that Boston makes it to 3, is all I'm saying.

Best of luck.

There is absolutely no chance Indy stays in the 3rd seed. Our best hope is to play Boston, but that's also very unlikely.

Put it this way, IF Boston manages to scratch their way up to third seed it would probably be because they'd resolved a lot of their chemistry issues.

And if that happens they're no longer a team we'd particularly want to play.

BOS has a toughish west coast trip coming up (GSW, SAC, LAL, LAC, SAC) and we have some easy games coming up. If BOS completely implodes it may not be so crazy to think we could sneak into number 5. I'm not holding my breath but the BOS situation is pretty bad right now.

Kyrie is a sulky malcontent right about now. He can talk leadership and "his team", but he can't actually lead anyone. There are some guys that naturally lead, and a few that can learn it with age, but he's neither of those. His game isn't team and his mindset isn't team. Boston is a mess, and he's likely gonna walk right out of it to NY.

(bet they're better without him next year, too)

They don’t have a Point Guard though. Other than one playoff series Terry has been worse than most starting guards. Add to that Hayward’s Lack of recovery, their future is on the down slope. They have a couple of mid to late first rounders. Their only mega pick is the Grizzlies pick

You never know. If Kyrie bolts and Rozier stays and is the starting PG, I wouldn't be surprised if he's above average. Confidence and a defined larger role can make a lot of difference.

Also, while I wouldn't mind if Boston suffered, I doubt it. Tatum is going to thrive, sooner rather than later, and Brown is another solid young piece if his role was larger. They just have too many players that deserve minutes, and a lot of the vets (that are playing over the younger guys) have been poorer than expected, not just Hayward. A little of the shine is coming off Brad Stevens, too.
