Just saying. He can coach.
Maybe Casey decides to retire after the series.

Gores should overpay him to be top assistant coach or something

Just when you thought the Kings stopped being the Kings, they fire a quality coach that overachieved. He’ll find another job in the NBA for sure.

Seriously, why did they fire him? This is Mike Malone all over again.

He has a history of not getting along with the FO and trying to always do things his way. He wants more say in some FO decisions and more control. It happened with Memphis, and that's why there was that murmur of him going to the Timberwolves since he is from Minnesota 3 years back.
He's a solid coach, just has his head a little up there in terms of him thinking he's in a higher tier than he really is. I wish he was available back when SVG was let go.

Re: Joerger available
For sure would be a great pickup as a lead assistant. Likely not going to happen, but I do feel like we need a really good offensive lead assistant after seeing too much ISO Blake and too much of our offense going stagnant this year. We need someone who will demand more off the ball movement.

Would love to see Casey bring in an offensive coordinator but doubt it would actually happen. The last time he had a good coach on his staff, the man took his job.

I doubt Joeger would accept anything less than another head coaching job.

He's a smart coach, but he coaches wherever he is with a foot out the door.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I'm sure Kokoskov will have better opportunities, but I'd love to hire him as our top assistant. Still need players, though.
