Eh, I'll give them a break. It's the time of year when fans overrate their teams, and they're grasping at straws after Kawhi left.

Someone said he's a Danny Green replacement. They're either joking or have never seen Stanley shoot.

Another said he reminds him of Derozan.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Yeah i was just peaking in there and they are getting hyped about Drew League where hes always beasted. Unfortunately that results to nothing in the NBA for the guy.

Still even if he does take a next step im good with it cause we've tried everything with the kid and nothing worked besides him being a solid defender

Fans on RHJ and SJ: "Kawhi who?," "Who needs Kawhi?" I'd hate to have to own those posts down the road.

As Raps fan, my minimum expectation of Stanley is a better version of a Kawhi, Giannis and Curry amalgam.
I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations for allowing me to live, work and play on their unceded traditional territories.

Likely conversation that led Nets to sign Ellenson

Marks: We've still got a two-way spot open.

Dinwiddie: Hey, what about Henry Ellenson?

Marks: Come on, Spencer. He showed nothing in Detroit. In fact, he regressed after his rookie year.

Dinwiddie: I know, but that was the SVG factor. He crushes rookies. That didn't stop you from taking a chance on me, did it?

Marks: Well, no...

Dinwiddie: SVG may have ruined that kid. But this staff might be able to put him back together like they did me. It's not like the talent isn't there.

Marks: Hmm... Maybe you're right. And it'll be worth the risk if you are. We'll give him a try.
