Sekou is a raw project, if it weren't for people thinking he was going to be Giannis he would have been picked in the second round.

Managing expectations with Sekou is critical, but I don’t think it’s too much to expect he ought to be getting preseason minutes. Even Darko got those.

I expect Sekou, Khyri, and Bone to get more minutes in the remaining few preseason games. I also expect Sekou and Bone to do the bulk of their playing in Grand Rapids this season.

Khyri really needs to come up big in these last few games. While I believe Galloway is the one who should be the odd man out, I don’t think Khyri has done enough to win that battle in the eyes of the coach.

I know I’m speculating but it’s a feeling I have

As of today, Khyri never got a chance in Detroit. He's been nailed to the bench all of last year and preseason so far this year. (garbage minutes don't count) He's actually played really well in the G league and summer league. I don't understand why he doesn't get an opportunity as he has a nice, smooth shot and is known to play defense. Assuming he doesn't have maturity issues/off court problems, If we let him go, some team like the Spurs will pick him up and make him into a legit rotation player.
