With Reggie out 4-6 weeks, I think it makes the most sense to start Bruce at point guard along-side Kennard. His future seems to be point guard (even Casey admits as much) so might as well speed up his development. Keep frazier where he belongs in the 3rd string...

Finally, Kennard showed some aggression and it was very good to see.
Hope he can stay awake and stay in attack mode on offense moving forward.

This is because Kennard is an all-star in the making.

He has good court vision and passing ability. He can handle the ball and get to the rim and finish, and is a lights out shooter.

If he was option 1 or 2, he would average over 20ppg on killer percentages.

The biggest part of Luke's game is not his talent, that's there. Its between his ears. The more aggressive he becomes, and starts to realize he is that good, and can be an integral piece of a damn good team.

He absolutely should continue to start, period. Brown should be the backup PG.

Luke stats so far,

MPG 31.1
PPG 16.4
RPG 2.6
APG 3.7
FT% 91.3(3.3FTA)
FG% 44.6
3P% 43.5(6.63PA)

Also, as an aside, Andre Drummond is now the Detroit Pistons all time leader in;

Offensive Rebounds

1. Andre Drummond-2640
2. Bill Laimbeer-2429
3. Dennis Rodman*-2395
4. Ben Wallace-2286
5. Bob Lanier*-1380
6. Terry Tyler-1223
7. Greg Monroe -1208
8. Vinnie Johnson-1165
9. Tayshaun Prince-1005
10. Isiah Thomas*-951

Rebounds Per Game

1. Andre Drummond 13.8
2. Bailey Howell* 11.8
3. Bob Lanier* 11.8
4. Walter Dukes 11.8
5. Dennis Rodman* 11.5
6. Dave DeBusschere* 11.2
7. Ben Wallace 11.1
8. Larry Foust 10.9
9. Happy Hairston 10.7
10. Ray Scott 10.7

Field Goal Pct

1. Andre Drummond .544
2. Dennis Rodman* .537
3. Otis Thorpe .531
4. Adrian Dantley* .525
5. Walt Bellamy* .524
6. John Salley .521
7. Jerome Williams .514
8. Terry Dischinger .509
9. Antonio McDyess .509
10. Bob Lanier* .508

Andre has also led the league in Offensive rebounding for 6 straight years, only the second player to do so since records started being kept. The other being moses Malone. If he does it this year he will tie Malone for most in a row, and overall. If he does it two more times he will hold the record, sequentially, and overall.

He will be the Pistons best rebounder in every category within two years. He is also on track to become the all time Pistons leader in blocks and steals.

Andre Drummond is also on track to end his career as a top three all time rebounder in NBA/ABA history.

He is in absolute prestigious company. If he played as many MPG as Wilt, or Russell, he would have a damn good chance at passing both players.(this is insane to even discuss. He is amongst the top three rebounders in NBA history, period.)

If he stays aggressive, he will become an MVP candidate, but that is entirely up to him.

Eliminating a lot of those has made him much more efficientl. Even though I've been vocal about him in the last, he has been much better ri start this season. If he can continue scoring 20+ ppg at 60+% FGs and leading the nba in rebounds with solid effort on defense he is probably going to get a max contract. Especially if we have any success in the playoffs.

I actually don't think he has eliminated those post ups. He is driving, facing up, and posting up more than ever imo. The difference is that he is making them. Watching him score you can still tell his finishing isn't super crisp so hopefully this high efficiency isn't just a hot stretch.

I don't think anyone has ever questioned Dre's innate athletic gifts. The issue has always been keeping his head in the game and playing consistently.

In today's NBA, he's not going to be an MVP candidate no matter what though. A center hasn't done that since shaq. The way the game is being played, I don't see how a non-perimeter player could even be in the conversation.
