Welp, the alleged re-evaluation today sure didn't seem to shed any new light

No need to rush him back while we hang around 500.

The focus should be on having a healthy team for the stretch run.

I dont see a issue with Blake missing the first 20 games or so as long as we don't dig ourselves a grave

Yeah, like I said, speaking in vague language like that is never a good sign.

Don't get me wrong, it's a lot better than "Blake is out until March", but it does mean it could be a solid chunk of time.

Better to have him be 100%. Better to sit the first month than the last month.

There is no issue with Blake sitting out because this team isnt going anywhere. We're at Bruce Brown for PG at the moment.

The growth in all these guys like Brown, Kennard, Svi, Wood is very encouraging and really much more important than Blake or Reggie. Both need to be moved. Reggie needs to come back and look OK to get moved for something other than cap space. Reggie out for a couple of second round picks is better than taking back junk.

Hoping a load-managed Griffin over 50 games on 28 mpg while averaging only 22-7-7 will be enough to get us up to 6th and through to the 2nd round.

Blake will have to consciously play on self-preservation mode and effectively give up his spot in the All-Stars and All-NBA teams. He can take off the limiter and go beast mode in the Playoffs if he hasn't broken down yet by then.

Even though we aren't playing great, at least some of the young guys are getting a some runs in which will help in the long run.
I want rose and griffin to take their time.

I predict he starts in the MIN game since it's at home and he will sit out the next game against MIA since it's the second night of a back to back. That will allow him to play at a home game and get some extra rest following his first game.

Unless we have a legit load management schedule for Blake (& Rose) I'd rather they sit out while we're hovering around .500

It's early...no need to rush them back and run them into the ground now. The team is going to rely on both so heavily that we need to show some restraint here.

We don't have that luxury. We could be 3rd in the East or we could be 10th in the East. One game decides playoff seeding and who gets in every single year. If they are healthy they need to play as much as possible. 30mpg for Rose. 32mpg for Griffin. Maybe give a back to back night off once in a while.

Well, let's hope Blake comes back healthy. 4-5 is not that bad at this point. If the team can be 10-10, and then everyone (save for reggie but at this point Brown is a better option to my amazement)starts playing, they should be able to finish the season 40-22 for a 50win season, or damn close to it(48 wins)which is good enough for the 5th, or 4th seed.

That would be ideal, and the team has just enough talent to achieve this goal. Now if they make a trade at some point, it could be even better. With that said? I'm still expecting, for one reason or another, because it's the Pistons, to end up around 43 wins, and end up playing a nightmare team in the first round and get wrecked.

Prove me wrong Pistons.

Its still vague. He might be getting ready for a while. Or need "load management"/ he is still hurt.

Would be great if he plays a lot. He needs to play within the system and pass the ball though. Luke/Blake pick and roll sounds good.

I think if you play Rose & Blake that much you're pushing your luck to the extreme.

Goal is to make the playoffs, preferably not as the 8th seed.

Next goal is to be as healthy as possible for the playoffs.

No point getting there and seeing Rose & Blake limping around

Better to come back on schedule and take back to backs off than to take forever to have them return. After all much of the wear and tear from the nba season comes from playing so many games over a condensed period of time.
