The problem is there is no legit hope for this team to do anything other than compete for a playoff spot. Fans want to see real progress beyond this. This team is just too old, too injury prone, not talented enough. We need a top lotto pick to get excited again.

No. The Pistons have what equates to a nice set of tires. They still need a frame, engine, and a driver.
