It ain’t pretty. You don’t lose to so many bad teams without looking all kinds of miserable doing it. Obviously seeing Sekou struggle so much is a bummer, but the rest is just the price of tanking. We aren’t tanking on purpose, but the result is the same. I hope they keep Sekou up here.

Of course, I also hope we trade like half of the roster and just turn the tank over to the youngsters. Hope is barely a thing.

Thing is we havent even commited to tanking. We're still trying to win games running D.Rose massive minutes a couple of games ago like a team going for it.

If we could just land one big-time prospect it wouldnt be so awful. If we could get a top 3 pick and land Lamelo Ball and just give him the keys next season this will be alot of fun.

Ugh. The sound of a Ball playing on our team with all the nonsense from his dad doesnt get me hyped lol

Of course Sekou's confidence is destroyed because they don't involve him in the offense at all ever since the Celtics game. Trades need to happen. Get rid of everyone that takes away from the development of these kids.

One more week of showcasing the old guys a bit to try and trade them. Then itll be all youth hopefully

I really hope so. I have a bad feeling that no trades happen and we are still trying to win games with the vets even when there's 0 percent chance of making the playoffs.

There really aren't. Blake and .... ? Every other guy on the roster is either expiring or has 1 year left. If dre opts out, snell is going to be the only guy besides blake making more than 7 million.

To be fair, Blake is harmful enough to be like 3 bad contracts. In fact he’s worse than that because he’s one lump sum.

I’d say Snell is a bad contract. You can argue about degrees of bad here but there’s a reason the Bucks attached a first rounder to dump him and has him basically out of their rotation despite the value of shooting around Giannis.

We’ve got other guys who are overpaid but they’re expiring so y to o me can’t be called bad contracts. Dre is bad if you assume he’s opting in, but that’s tough to read right now. Snell reaches this category at seasons end but in terms of the deadline he’s a bad contract.

You can’t be as awful as we’ve been and be near the luxury tax without your share of guys making more than they’re worth.

Okay, I’m starting to see what others were talking about with respect to people hating Drummond.

Yeah man I'm a fan of Dre. I understand the hate on him. He's a loser to be honest. Doesn't play hard, maybe 33% of the time, he has definitely not shown improvement this season. He plays like a child, gets blocked and handled on the court by most bigs. It's embarrassing watching him play, has no pride and he wants a max? Trade him for anything, he's not a Piston player.

Oh, I wasn't implying our cap situation was good. We have 1 really bad contract, not a lot of bad contracts though. Assuming dre opts out, we have a really unbalanced cap. Snell is the only "big" contract we have, and he's only at $12mil for 1 season after this. Everyone else on the roster is either expiring or on a very small contract.

I'm thinking the Knicks or Portland gets Dre. time to blow up what you can if you can get any value out of anyone. Keep Sekou, let the rest go.

Knocks I can see. Portland not so much with their two centers one of which is coming back from injury just shortly.

Blazers have Nurk coming back this season. They were also being rumored to be considering trading Whiteside. The knicks are always a possibility they do dumb stuff.

Yeah, once it became clear he was being shopped he quit on the team. I don't blame him entirely because our horrendous perimeter defense does put in bad situations constantly and he gets a lot of blame they deserve. However, I also agree with the above statement that he has a loser's mentality. Drummond plays far too soft for his physical gifts. I've come to the opinion that he needs to be off the team. That said, I'm betting he's here next year. The league sees everything we do and he's not highly valued. 28M is a lot to give up. Hope I'm wrong.

I see no way he gives up 28mil.

I also think he has to find out that nobody will pay him and that most don't consider him to be all that.

Will he man up then? If only he had a mamba heart.
