I wouldn't be too quick to jump on Casey. The possibility does exist that he's doing an expert job of tanking at the expense of his own reputation because he's still got three years left on his contract and the ok from Gores to tank.

Yeah, it's a stretch, for sure. But think about it--playing Rose heavy minutes makes it look like he's trying to win games. Criticizing the team's effort makes it look like he wants to win. But his lineups make it look like he might actually be trying to lose.
