crazy how pistons had the strongest frontcourt with blake and drummond and now start two twigs at pf and center.

Wood is better than Drummond. Size don’t matter in today’s NBA. Wood will dunk on people too. Drummond was soft.

You guys like what you saw from Henson tonight? Would be nice if we can get him on like a 3-4 million a year deal. Maybe give him a 1+1 with a player option if he comes cheap.

We need to be careful with Wood’s contract next year. Be clear with him during the off-season. Tell him we want him to be a major piece going forward, but we need to not over pay here.

We love him because he’s over performing. But what happens when he’s making 12 million a year. We will be more critical of him.

His future with us is exciting but financially worrisome.

Will he keep getting better or is this his peak? He needs to keep working if we give him big money.

Yea I really hope we keep him. You think 2 years at 10 million per year gets it done? I'm not sure what he is worth to be honest. I assume we dont want to spend money more than 2 years out cuz Blake's deal will be gone by then.

My guess is either 3/30 or 3/36. Maybe the 3/30 (10 mil a year) is the better bet. I think he will want a three year deal. Won’t matter about the timing of Blake’s contract. Wood has never been paid. A three year deal seems right. 4 is too long in case he’s a future all star and not paid like it. And 2 years is too short after never really having security in the NBA. I think we give him a three year deal.

Yea I would definitely be good with giving him 3/30. It's a relief that we will have money to throw at guys that still are young and show potential like Wood.

I would predict 3 year 40 mil deal. or 4 year 50 mil... one year being an option year. I'd prefer paying more the first year and price declining each year. Pay more while we have cap space and lower it when we have less.

Just see what his averages are for the rest of the season. That will tell us how much he will/should be paid.

Home from work sick, so decided to watch Saturday's game. Casey to me is just awful at in-game coaching, absolutely awful. Execution down the stretch of this game was just awful and you can tell its from literally having no plan offensively.

-90 seconds left in the game and Brown slowly dribbles the ball into half court and he and Thon (btw the worst two offensive players on the court for either team) play hot potato until shot clock is down to 7 where Reggie gets the ball at the half court freakin logo and has to try making something out of that.
-13.5 seconds left and ball is inbounded to Wood who has to throw up a turnaround 3 because literally everyone else is sitting there watching him. This was a freaking play out of a TIMEOUT.
-7.3 seconds left and its give the ball to Jackson and hope he gets something done. Not one good look in the entire possession.

And I know people on twitter at least were going crazy over Thon's game Friday (which wasnt that impressive, dude hit open shots...) but Thon isn't a good NBA player. He shouldnt be starting on anytime, tanking or not. Can't rebound, can't catch the damn ball under any type of pressure, awful at finishing around the rim.....he's just awful. Henson clearly outplayed him but yet it was Thon who was in to finish it, which probably cost the team the game how many offensive rebounds he gave up and fumble passes he coughed up. If you're going to play the "kids" then Sekou should be playing over him and if you're going to play the most deserving then Henson should've played over him. Either way, Thon isnt and wont ever be the answer.

I have embraced the tank so I'm glad we lost but it hurts so badly that Casey is allowed to get away with just awful coaching.
