The next Kobe

Post#1 » by Han Solo » Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:07 am

Before you watch this if you haven’t yet, I will start with this - I know most of us have discussed basketball here for years and we all are aware of high school mixtapes. Some have made players look very dominant only to see them flop in the NBA. There are also some we probably have all been right on. When you hear people talk about the next wave of NBA superstars at the high school level - most people like Emoni Bates and Cade Cunningham the most. Especially Bates. While of course I love Bates, especially considering the fact he’s from Ypsilanti, but no prospect excites me more than Jalen Green.

I believe Green will ultimately end up being the #1 pick next year in the draft. Bates will probably be #1 in 2022.

He legit reminds me of Kobe Bryant in high school. I remember watching Kobe and this kid plays just like him. He is probably the best shooter in next year’s class. He plays way above the rim. He finishes at the rim (as a guard), the best I’ve seen since Kobe. He can dribble equally well with both hands. He can also defend. And he is very fast and under control. He even passes well. Has great court vision.

I’ve never wanted a player more than him in my 40 years as a Pistons fan out of the draft. If we can tank this year and somehow end up with him, this kid is going to be one of the best players in the NBA and soon.

This is my opinion. But I have watched him a ton. I absolutely love to watch him play basketball.

If you haven’t seen him play - watch this.

I think it would be an epic mistake to not be one of the 4 worst teams in the NBA at the end of the year. I know nothing about this kid in particular, but I know we need to finally hit bottom to starting moving back up again and get out of this constant treadmill we've been in.

Hes skipping college for the GLeague as well. Next years draft is pretty loaded with guards and wings in the lottery.

Bump. Because it’s legit possible now. This kid is going to be a Piston. Speaking it into existence

These next 2 drafts look loaded in the top 5. It seems like we have finally bottomed out and should be picking in the top 5 on both drafts
