But this isn’t the right place to have that conversation, right Manocad?
I thought we’d agreed on that.

I didn't say that; you did. I said my post didn't address that idea and it didn't. You've known me long enough to know that you're not going to affect my sensibilities, dude. It's an internet forum; I don't give a flying f**k what people want to talk about.

Winner!
Perhaps BLM should do a campaign about the consequences of having children out of wedlock instead. But if they want to focus on high phone bills in prison, God bless.

Interesting parallel to that, and the correlation can be considered causation since the empirical data is so overwhelming (kinda like how smoking causes lung cancer even though there still is no absolute medical proof that it does, just overwhelming correlation via empirical data)--there are only three things required to not find yourself below the poverty line:
1. Have a high school diploma
2. Be married/have a domestic partner if you have kids (i.e. two parent family)
3. Have a job--any job
A stunning vast majority (something approaching 99% if if I recall correctly) of people living above the poverty line meet all three requirements and about the same majority of people living below the poverty line don't. Related to your point, kids are expensive.

The easiest and most common sense answer to all of this. Problem is, personal responsibility doesn't exist anymore.
It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.
