Doesnt it make sense to have him be the 5 with Grant the 4? Sekou at 3. Jackson at 2. Hayes at 1. What am I missing lol.
Dont get me wrong I am totally down to lose every game this year.
Sure would be nice though to not have Blake and have Grant play where hes supposed to at PG.

I don't think Blake looks injured but he looks a little less athletic and more tentative. I don't see a reason for him to be attempting to carry us at this point and go all-out. He needs to pace himself and stay healthy.

Ya I havent watched a game yet, but hopefully hes pacing himself and getting himself looking like a champ by the trade deadline so we can get something out of him

He can't play center, as he is a defensive catastrophe at the position. I couldn't care less about that, but the thoroughly mediocre quantity that is Dwane Casey does care.

Ya true lol. Hopefully hes gonzo sooner than later.
I'm happy with Stewart Okafor Plumlee at center going forward. And Grant and Sekou PF. Bey Seko SF. Hayes and Jackson at guards.
Combined with our 2021lottery pick likely/hopefully being a guard. And hopefully another top pick 2022. We loookinn good for the future.
And then probably cap space summer of 2022 to sign someone great.
I'm optimistic this xmas morning whilst drinking my 2nd cappuccino

Blake is making:

$36.5 million this year.
$39 million next season.

Finding a team that can trade with a 36.5 million dollar contract is not easy. They would actually have to want Blake too. That list is at ZERO teams, right now. Or he would be traded.

The way Casey uses Blake also makes him lose value, as we all are talking about. Ball handling at the top of the key is the worst place for him to start an offensive set. He would do really well if he could run the floor and get to a nice spot at the free throw line, or outside the paint on either side. Then receive the ball. Again, somehow as a group, we're smarter than an NBA coach, not sure how this happens all the time.

Blake appears to have completely lost his legs which has affected his shooting. The hope was, he could be a shooter and not need to move.

My hope was Ryan Anderson. Now you get Ryan Anderson defense with 0/5 three point shooting. Merry Christmas everyone, ouch. No one is trading for that, unless we attach picks.

Its sad that because Casey is such a poor coach, without any common sense, at some point people are going to hope Blake gets injured so he will stop playing him so much and using him so poorly.

Ick, I'm not happy at all about Stewart, Okafor, and Plumlee. That's three traditional centers, and I'd prefer to have the young guys brought up in a modern offense. None of those three can shoot. I don't know what Okafor is doing on the team in the first place; he's a no-upside player. He's a decent paint scorer, he sucks at everything else, and he's more or less the same player he was in the NCAA.

And then probably cap space summer of 2022 to sign someone great.

Well, I hope we're in position for that to matter. I'm concerned it'll instead end up with the Pistons being on the last year of Grant's deal and Weaver looking to sign a big free agent, striking out, and blowing that money on somebody mediocre instead.

Yes I should probably choose my words better lol.
I'd say for now I'm content with those 3 at center.our "finished product " team I'd prefer a Christian Wood type center. Lol if only we could find one of those. Speaking of which I'm still convinced he just wanted to leave us to go to Houston. I refuse to believe we didn't want him

Happy holidays to you as well pal
