They really will slow down knowing who will be worth keeping and who is not.

Nobody is trading for Blake. You just have to hope that he doesn't opt in next season at this point.

Rose is very tradeable with that nice contract but the question is if they want to trade him at all or if he wants to be traded.

He's the type of player that needs trust from his coach and while it all can't be blamed on Casey, it seems like he has a short leash with Sekou which is a confidence killer.
Honestly, I'm really concerned that his confidence is shattered. He looks deathly afraid to make a mistake out there. When he's playing confident, he's a handful for the opponent.

He's still so young but I'm starting to think that the Pistons aren't too crazy about him, Weaver loves "his guys" and Sekou isn't his guy.
Watch them trade him to San Antonio or a place like Toronto and flourish.

I agree he is being used just as a floor spacer, actually try and put him in spots to score. It was times in the game were he had a PG on him in the post he was actively calling for the ball but Wright just looked him off and told him to get in the corner. I think its a mixture of bad coaching and guy wanting to get theirs out there as Jackson is trying to get his next contract, Grant wants to be Kawhi, and Wright is also wanting to find a home in the NBA hopefully as the season goes on these guys will play more team ball and Casey reins them in some.

This team just can’t get there lottery picks right

Heh, he'll be ok, you can't call a guy a bust after 3 games. Especially when he's playing with bums mostly, having BG and Rose on the team doesn't help a young PG either, in fact I think they may be a net negative. Especially Rose, all he does is put his head down and drive, he really doesn't seem all that interested in getting people involved unless it's a last resort, need to move him. I'd rather have Delon Wright out there, at least he plays defense.

90% of all players always want to get theirs. And if the coach allows them to do so (while running a structure-less offense), they'll try to get theirs all the time. So I disagree that it's a mixture of bad coaching and anything else. It's simply bad coaching. And we've had that here for a very long time.

It is funny when Jackson and Grant are both out there, dual plastic men. I was thinking they should have used Jackson more on Young, his length bothers people.

Any news/rumors on line up for tonight's game? Are the old folk supposed to be back?
I did read that Okafor may be ruled out.

Rod beard said rose and Griffin were not on the injury report so expect both back. Sekou is probable and jah questionable.

Just wanna see Grant, Jackson, Hayes and eventually Sekou wreaking havoc on the defensive end. Josh Jackson was great, seems to have a rhythm to his game now. Stewart's got to play, he's got the tools of an elite rebounder - the early recognition, the bounce, the slipperiness underneath.

Shout out to Mason Plumlee. He's actually an excellent signing for these young guys, just doing all the little things to make the game easier for them. His passing ability encourages all sorts of cuts and off-ball movement.

Wait a minute--are you suggesting that Weaver actually knew what he was doing when building a team for the future rather than just playing the "try to get the best player at every position right now" game, and hasn't totally destroyed the team and wasted this season already?

I don't know, man. That's pretty bold thinking 'round these here parts.

Rose isn't y'all problem with playing the young guys... I mean unless y'all consider Delon Wright young. Blake though is the problem in that regard. Blake should not be playing major minutes for y'all after the trade deadline.
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!

The problem with Rose and Blake isn't that they play big minutes instead of certain kids - it's the way they play the game.

Every time they get the ball everything stops, there's very little movement at all, it's antiquated!

Times have changed - iso heavy stuff isn't going to cut anymore unless you're a legit MVP kinda player.

We've already seen flashes of good things when Plumlee has the ball and he's telling dudes when to cut. We've seen Hayes (at times), Grant (at times) & Jackson (at times) get easier shots simply by moving without the ball.

With our personel a fast paced, movement based offense is the way to go given our depth and young legs.

Stalling the offense for Blake and Rose to go to work isn't going to win us games and it's not for the betterment of our roster.

Here's hoping both Rose and Blake aren't here next season.
