Cant wait for Blake and Rose to be gone.

This team would be really fun to watch if the front court lineup was something like

SF:Bey
PF: Grant
C :Stewart

Best part: Stewart bein an animal, and Okafor nailed to the bench.

If Grant’s an All-Star, I say we gotta trade him. His value will have peaked.

Young Piston core:

Pg - Hayes
Sg - Jackson / Svi
Sf - Bey
Pf - Sekou
C - Stewart

Trade Grant for a pick/prospect/expiring and keep building for the future.

Grant doesnt get traded until much later.

If he really is Kawhi 2.0, then you keep him and hope to get a top 5 pick to pair with him. If you need to shut him down part way through the season, so be it. If he is just really good, you still need to get a top 5 pick.

Nothing changes. I dont think he is superstar talent like Giannis, Lebon, Durant. Maybe he is? That would be great.

Pistons still wait to see how the ping pong balls bounce and what happens next season.

I would only trade Grant for a top 10 pick

Can't just have a bunch of dudes 25 and under and expect them to learn how to be pros.

Minnesota, Sacramento, Washington etc say hi!

You can have a decade of top 10 picks and still amount to nothing!

As much hate as Weaver has copped on this board at least he's got us positioned for a much better future and it took 1 whole off-season to do it regardless of if you agree with every choice he made

Stewart, with the usual caveat of staying healthy, has a bright future. He's getting his rookie calls at the moment, but if keeps playing hard and well that will ease. That relentless rebounding style does put you in mind of Dennis/Ben. Jackson is streaky, and coming back from his injury has struggled. I do like how hard he works on defense.

We finally have a stud wing and we’re talking about trading him.

Grant is Weaver’s guy anyway. He’s here at least until his final year of his deal. Take that to the bank.

FYI. Mo Bamba is the 2nd coming of Kwame Brown but may end up being the next Hasheem Thabeet. I know, I live down here and watch him. He shows the least amount of effort of anyone on the team. He appears to be lackadaisical most of the time on the court and only plays against other teams scrubs. Heck, undrafted 3rd year player Khem Birch outplays and gets most of the backup center minutes. If that don't warn you, then Magic are looking for a sucker to take on Mo.

Good that we both agree that he could use a change of scenario. Khris Middleton was been outtplayed and most of the SF minutes were given to the might Kyle Singler.

No. Middleton showed signs of being a decent 3 and D player but was just never given much of an opportunity. I watched those games back then and was disappointed when we decided to let him go. Effort or needing a change of scenery was never an issue with Khris.

I don't think that's the same as Bamba vs. Birch.

Sorry if I somehow missed context. You said Middleton was outplayed by Singler. That simply wasn't true. He was never given an opportunity and played well when he was on the court. Bamba has been given opportunity. That's the contrast I saw and was my point. But no big deal.

His point was Singler got minutes over Middleton while here

But Middleton proved to be way better once a team (MIL) finally played him and developed him.

Yeah. It's funny. I distinctly remember liking Middleton and questioning why he was thrown in to the Milwaukee trade as an afterthought. But I just went back and looked at his stats and game logs that year. They were pretty pedestrian. Weird.

You don't get it. He is totally into the team and positive all the time. Coach don't play him because he sucks and isn't going to earn playing time. Guy is great with his teammates and a positive in the locker room. Unless you truly want the second coming of Darko, then stay far away. A bust in the making.
