Hopefully its not anything serious, but wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out our last our last two games before the all-star break just to give him 10 days to get back to 100% before we play Charlotte March 11th.

We're starting to give him rest days, so this will be well deserved to get his leg (calf?) right with the extra days off

At least we’re not Houston. Watched some of that after hearing about it, suddenly last nights game against New York seems tolerable

I hope Grant gets some rest.

Down by 20 and Sekou still didnt get a lot of minutes. Maybe Casey was hoping for some 4th quarter miracle, but down by 20 against an average team like the Knicks, just put in all the young guys.

Instead McGruder was out there.

Put in Syverdis, Sekou, Frank Jackson, etc.

Yeah you're right. It'd be sooo much better if we were fighting for 8th seed in the East, getting beat down in round 1 of the playoffs, picking outside of the lottery and then, lucky us, we get rewarded by getting to do it all over again the next season.

Why be bad one season, when you can mediocre every season.

This post is so dumb. I'm not even sure why I'm replying to this.

There are other alternatives other than be unwatchable, without a single decent prospect being developed (Bey is our best prospect, and he does not have a high ceiling, I'm happy we got him, but he is a rotation piece/fringe starter and that's it) or the 8th seed.

I have posted what I'd like to be seen this season several times, I'll post again. Haliburton/Jackson/Bey/Grant/Wood. That'd be a team with a future. We would need a better SG and some internal growth, and we would be good and entertaining for several years.

It's never one season of being this bad, some teams have been like this for a decade or so (Sacramento/Phoenix/Minny etc).

This team is a complete joke, and I can't wait for Hayes to be back so people can continue to overrate that scrub, or I can't wait for us to select the next overrated rookie...

In the East do you really believe that your starting 5 - that would be playing with Rose & Blake - is not a playoff team or at the very least on the playoff bubble?

It really doesn’t matter whether we make the playoffs this year (if we kept Wood). We’d still have a core of guys 26 years old and younger.

When a team lets guys 26 and under go for nothing, all you’re doing is cementing yourself in suck.

Is that really better than being cemented in mediocrity?

Maybe we luck out and get Cade or Mobely.

Or maybe we follow in typical Pistons history and drop down to 6-8. We will either find a way to win games and decrease our ping pong balls...or we will get leapfrogged in the lottery and fall down the draft ladder.

Doesn’t matter anyway if your on the “give young guys away for nothing” bandwagon. Cuz we will always have guys justifying giving away guys like Wood.

I mean, God forbid we ever make the playoffs until when? When we are legit title contenders?

Wow, the Wood debate has reappeared. While I didn't watch any of the NY game after the first few minutes, I just don't think however you rewrite Pistons offseason it would be making much difference with Wood or without. I think when it's all said and done, three years from now Wood will not have moved the needle much in Houston despite putting up some solid numbers and clearly - unless he keeps injured - living up to his contract.

I would much rather have Grant in the trenches of a playoff game than Wood.

The New York game was unwatchable. Entertainment from watching a young team develop last game: zero.

Brilliant. The Pistons should have hired you as a GM.

BTW, how are you getting this magical cap space to sign both Grant and Wood?

I'm just going to be honest and I don't care if you don't care (and I'm sure most will agree with me). You just come off as a miserable "fan". You were calling for Weaver to be fired countless times on the first day of free agency. What a joke. Yeah he made some mistakes with the stretches especially but I notice that every message board has a few chronic complainers and you're one of them.

In any event, some of you got what you wanted. A full blown rebuild, full blown tank (it's what I wanted too). That's exactly what they're doing and all some of you do is constantly complain.
BTW, the team hasn't been unwatchable most nights. They've been competitive in just about every game and have beaten some league giants so...

It really does matter whether we make the playoffs assuming we kept Wood and you know which is why you dodged it then went ahead and stated your strawman!

You built it well but at the end of the day it's still made of straw

Oh Vege, why you so sad man? Bet you're a hit at parties!

You speak as if the Pistons have at some recent point been quite "watchable" and now Weaver has ruined this good thing we had going.

NEWS FLASH- we did not have a good thing going.

I honestly doubt you even watch the games, because if you did you'd be able to see what a lot of us are starting to see and that's an exciting young core developing that is about to add a top 5 draft pick and be rid of Blakes $$.

Weaver is righting the wrongs, either get onboard or get left behind mate.
