I've offered before and a whopping two people showed up. Full bar, big screen (projector too), 8' Brunswick pool table, official English dart board, even air hockey. Years ago most people were still kinda quirky about giving away too much information (don't give out your real name, life details, etc.) much less god forbid actually meeting someone face to face. But I've literally met and hung out with about 30 RealGM members (granted, most of them from the Off Topic board) since I've been a member. And I'm talking meeting up in Vegas to party/watch the NBA draft or other cities multiple times. About 10 of them became and still are good personal friends. I even went to Australia for a week, stayed on the Gold Coast and hung out/partied there with 6 Australian RealGM members.

Please tell me you explored outside of the Gold Coast? haha! I'm in Northern NSW, just under Gold Coast, its basically Gods Country!

Always down to party if you ever come back.

Also welcome new guy, I've been around for a while, watch every Pistons game but only chime in from time to time.

It was a better place when all the old scholars in this thread were active, the new wave is a little different haha but always good fun.

Yep. I rented a car and drove up through the rain forest to the top of the Lamington National Park; that was really cool. Also checked out the Currumbin Animal Sanctuary and went to a water park with the Off Topic board guys. Other than that it was beach, pool, restaurants, clubs and drinking. Lots of it.

That’s absolutely awesome. Funny how perception changes over time, kind of like working from home, which many of us are now doing. I remember getting tickets in ‘05 off a poster - my wife thought I was nuts and that the poster was going to be a murderer or something. Turned out to be a great guy, and we ended up splitting tickets for a couple of years.
