i would think if there was a trade close they wouldnt be playing tonight, but maybe not

Probably getting offered seconds and mediocre prospects.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

They're all hard workers who probably point our young players in the right direction regarding how to be professional, picking up the right habits, etc. If we're getting offered late 2nds, the leadership they provide is more valuable.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I doubt anyone is rushing to part with a decent first for Wright or Plumlee. They're role players and if a contender or pretender is offering up a first they'll want or chase a difference maker first.

Sekou has shown nothing in over a year now. That 2 weeks of 10+ points as a Rookie was his poor man’s MCW rendition.

A decent tank day overall, with Orlando, Cleveland and Toronto all winning. Way too many turnovers for us tonight.

Juuuuust right. Now find a new home for Wright and Ellington and I think we’re all set for the necessary bottom 3 finish.

Nice call by Casey not to foul with 27 seconds left. I like that tank move.
