Didn’t watch the game, so I. Just watching a highlight video. The video has the Charlotte commentary and its god awful. One guy is just yelling constantly haha how do hornets fans tolerate that haha

Yeah they were fun to listen to the first few times, but now they overdo it after getting a little bit of national media exposure. It's a bit obnoxious now

Hes been doing it for years. Tonight was child's play compared to what he normally does. Eric Collins is a national treasure.

meh. I get the homerism, we do the same thing with george blaha, but Collins’ whole gimmick gets pretty old pretty quick. it’s funny and can honestly be pretty hype sometimes, but for the most part, it comes off as forced and jarring.

Schticks like that are aways more tolerable when it's for your team.

It can often get pretty cringe when you're watching a game with commentary for which you are not the intended audience.

I don't live in Michigan and regularly watch the away announcers on the League Pass. There are some pretty bad ones, but fans of their own teams probably don't mind it much.

I think the most irritating thing to me was in the years after trading for Allen Iverson, where every single road announcer would talk about how awful a trade it was. They were of course, speaking to their own audiences who might be less familiar with the recent history of the team, but as a Piston fan it made me cringe to have to be reminded of it every time I got stuck with the non-Piston announcers.

Personally I can’t stand Boston’s and Toronto’s commentators. They make zero effort to be impartial and I genuinely think the Toronto commentators play a part in the Toronto fan base’s victim complex.

I haven’t watched as much of the west coast teams though so they might have some candidates too.

Johnny Most was the worst. It was shameful how terrible he was. And his play-by-play was not good.

And the old school Celtics fans love Johnny Most. Not only was his voice unbearable but he would go nuts praising crazy shots by Celtics players that missed. Like yeah, sure, that was an awesome spin move between the legs reverse layup attempt, but it counts just as much as a blown breakaway bunny attempt.

That is still bar none the most painful sports moment of my life. All Isiah had to do was complete an inbounds pass and the Pistons would have gone up 3-2 in the series and back to the Palace where they had utterly dominated the Celtics in the previous two games, i.e. the series was basically over. I was at my buddy's house with a few friends and remember all of us jumping up and yelling waiting for Isiah to inbound the ball then suddenly...gack...urf...what the...WTF JUST HAPPENED?!?!?

Second would be the Michigan-Michigan State game where Spartan Bob the timekeeper let 17 seconds turn into 20.
