Those 3 guys along with Cade are four big reasons to be excited about what Weaver has going on in Detroit. Even happy with Casey and the job he has done getting everyone to compete.

Anyone know why Casey is there? Is he an assistant coach on the USA select team?

Saddiq is among 3 guys added to the team for exhibition games along with Darius garland and keldon Johnson.

I fully expect to see saddiq be a top 5 when we start seeing “2020 redraft” stories.

It'll be interesting to see what his ceiling is. I feel like his range of what type of player he can turn out to be is all over the place.

Anywhere at just a regular starter to a possible Robin type of star. Likely not a true star though. Can he be our Khris Middleton?

I think most people wouldn't project Bey to be a defensive stud so his ceiling is as a scorer. Clearly the guy can shoot, and as we saw later last season he displayed improved footwork and was even able to drive and score. That being said, if he can bump his FG% up from 40% to the 44-45% range and his 3FG% from 38% to 40%, he's going to be a star player in the 20/5/1.5 realm. Not a #1 option but sure as hell a clear #2 option on a playoff team and no worse than a #3 option on a loaded championship team. Scottie Pippen-lite might be a good comparison. Not as good defensively or as a slasher, but certainly better at shooting the 3.

Still no word on the severity of Stewart’s injury…

I'm not concerned. For starters it was reported as a sprain. Years ago I rolled my ankle playing racquetball, broke a bone in my foot, had a cast for eight weeks and then by another eight weeks after the cast came off it was like it never happened. The last article I saw from yesterday was that he had left the Team USA camp but that's completely understandable. Even a garden variety sprain takes 1-3 weeks to heal so leaving camp now and not playing in the exhibition games makes complete sense. NBA playoffs and he's an 8 year vet? Ice it down, wrap that ankle up and get your butt back in there. But a valued rookie? Go home and rest, kid.

I agree that even a relatively minor injury warrants leaving the camp.

I hope that’s all it is.

Think Bey being in this camp could really help his development.

As we've seen he's more than just a shooter and being around Team USA will show him how much he needs to work on.

Assuming he can be a legit #2 or #3 option on a quality team in 2 or 3 years we're starting to look pretty good.

Cade, Bey, Grant is a versatile offensive trio

Can Bey work himself into an efficient 15-18 PPG 3rd option. He was 12.2 PPG as a rookie and shot fairly well at 38% from deep. I'd love to see Bey score 15 a night in year two, shooting between 39% and 40% from deep and we'll be in a great position.

I'd expect Cade and Grant to both be at just about 20 PPG next year give or take a point.
